In addition to the many different sizes of batteries, there are many different compositions, and power delivery. There are Carbon-Zinc; Zinc-Manganese Dioxide; Li-Ion; Ni-MH; Ni-Cd; LiPo, and the list goes on.But before I waste your time, you first need to know whether rechargeable batteries are right for your application. The answer is simple, if you find yourself constantly buying disposable batteries for an application, then you should consider using rechargeable batteries.Now that you know you need rechargeable batteries, which ones should you get? Once again we need to go back to the application to determine this. The most common types of rechargeable batteries will consist of the following chemistries: Ni-Cd (Nickle Cadmium), Ni-MH (Nickle Metal Hydride), and Li-ion (Lithium Ion).When it comes to rechargeable batteries, here are some of the things you need to consider:1. Number of rechargeable cycles2. The amount of power it can discharge (drain)3. The rate of self discharge4. Memory effect5. Energy DensityThis review will focus on these five factors for each type of battery in the lower capacity (Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd).Number of charge/discharge cycles: 400-600Discharge (drain): supports both high and low drain devicesRate of self discharge: ModerateMemory effect: YesEnergy Density: LowNi-Cd batteries are a pretty versatile in the sense that it can support both high drain as well as low drain devices enabling it to be used pretty much across the entire spectrum of electronic devices. They perform well in any climate whether it be stifling heat or freezing cold. And they have the ability to pack a punch and can release more power on demand without becoming damaged. Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries best suited for high frequency use items and devices that require large amounts of power to function. Common uses include Cordless Phones, Walkie Talkies, Portable Radios, Flashlights, and Portable Medical Equipment. On the flipside, Ni-Cad can support low energy drawing devices just as well, TV remotes, wireless computer peripherals like keyboards and mice, LED string lights, etc.Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)Number of charge/discharge cycles: 800-1000Discharge (drain): low drain devicesRate of self discharge: Mid-HighMemory effect: NoEnergy Density: Mid-HighNi-MH are best suited for low drain applications with high energy consumption and demand (cordless phones, digital cameras, flashlights, toys). Essentially applications where you want the battery drained within a month.Now I know what you're thinking... "wait, wuh? did he just list cordless phones in both?" And yes, I did, but for good reason. Both Ni-Cad and Ni-MH both support high energy consuming devices like phones; however, Ni-MH performs better because of Memory Effect, or actually, the lack thereof.Memory Effect is when a battery must be fully drained before recharge or their capacity is reduced. The battery “remembers” how much energy it is recharged to and then only charges to this lower level instead of its actual capacity. Ni-MH rechargeable batteries do not develop a memory effect and can be recharged at anytime during usage cycle. However, Ni-MH batteries are not without their limitations. Ni-MH is not well suited for low energy draw devices like clocks and remote controls; its high self discharge rate (about 1% per day) also mean that Ni-MH would not be well suited for things like smoke detectors (unless you like swapping out your batteries every 3 months).Lithium Ion (Li-ion)Number of charge/discharge cycles: 300-1500Discharge (drain): supports high and low drain devicesRate of self discharge: Very LowMemory effect: NoEnergy Density: MidLi-Ion batteries solves the problems associated with both Nickel based rechargeable batteries, they can deliver full voltage without developing any memory loss. The caveat here is that Li-Ion batteries deliver 3.7V and not the lower rates of 1.2V or 1.5V. The very low rate of self discharge makes this type of battery very useful for applications like Cell Phones, Laptop Computers, and Tablets.The most important things about batteries is the Voltage, the Size, and the Capacity. There is a fourth consideration and that's quality. Quality in both materials and manufacturing. This is where brand may be a factor as reputable brands have established a minimal level of quality, hence the higher price tag.I ordered these batteries by iMah to replace the batteries in my cordless phone (yes, I still have a land line...). The OEM batteries are rated at 1.2V and have a capacity of 550mAh. These by iMah deliver the same 1.2V, but have a larger capacity of 750mAh. If you're wondering how the same size battery can hold different capacities of power, it has to do with energy density (which I noted in the specs above). Ni-MH batteries can have a med-high energy density levels, 550mAh is the low end of density and 2000mAh is at the high end of energy density. Of course, the more dense the energy, the heavier the battery will be. I chose the Ni-MH batteries over the Ni-Cad because of the application. While Ni-Cad would have worked just as well, I would have to wait until the battery was fully discharged before putting it back on the base to recharge (remember, Ni-Cad DOES have Memory Effect). With Ni-MH, there is no memory effect, so I can place the receiver back on the base whenever without worry.These batteries by iMah were not cheaper than the OEM ones, but they do have about 35% more capacity. Now if you're like me and love to look at the product pictures, you need to take one with a grain of salt. There is a photo of iMah comparing these batteries to their competition and they state that their competitor's only last 3 years. Well, what you need to now is that iMah is comparing these Ni-MH battery against a competitors Ni-Cad one. All Ni-MH batteries have the same properties, so even with the quality factor, the performance can't be as bad as they portray. Even if we take the lowest end specs of the Ni-Cad battery, we get 400 recharge cycles. Let go one lower and suppose the quality is so bad that it only has a life cycle of 300 recharges. Furthermore, let's suppose the capacity is so low, that the batteries need replenishing twice a week. That would still give it a lifespan of 150 weeks, which works out to 2 years 10.5 months. about the lifespan they're depicting in their image, and keep in mind, this is using number lower than the low end of the specification.I've been using these batteries by iMah for just under and month now and so far have experienced zero issues. I don't expect to incur any either. When looking for a battery, just remember to pay attention to the specs. Make sure they align with your device. Failure to do so may cause damage to the battery, your device, or both! If you're not sure about a Brand's quality, just look at the latest reviews for the past 6 months or so. If there is any consistent negative feedback, stay away and look for a different brand.

More affordable to replace batteries in cordless phone than to buy a new set. Only time will tell how long they last, but for now - they work well.

Rechargeable batteries for my phones I will say the ones I had in it or original and the phones got to the point where they couldn't keep a charge going very long, rather than investing in a whole new set of phones which I have five different locations, I tried ordering the batteries. They came in a timely manner they fit right in and the phones are keeping a charge now so as far as that they're excellent, it is a bit hard to rave about batteries, but they worked.

Preiswerter Artikel und ausreichend für mehrere Telefone unserer Telefonanlage von Panasonic. Konnte mit einem Rutsch alle Baterien in allen Telefonen auswechseln.

These batteries are absolutely brilliant hold their charge well which you need on a wander phone,real value for money compared to the Panasonic replacement batteries nearly a third of the price and eight compared to the two. Really quick delivery as well so highly recommended.
