I have an old cedar chest that I'm in the middle of refinishing, and while I don't find a chest useful, I did need a new coffee table. So a bit of a resto-mod later, it's working flawlessly. I do wish it had a little more support, as you have to pull from exactly in the middle for it to open evenly, but what else can I expect for the money?

These hinges are more sturdy than I had anticipated and two hold the 32” x 42” solid oak table tops I made firmly in the open and closed positions.I am very happy with the function for the price, but if they have one drawback, they don’t move the top up or over as much as some other hinges. In my case, my top moves over about 9” and up about 5” which was fine for my needs, but may not be enough for some other applications.They come with no instructions, but if you are building furniture, I suspect you can figure out how to successfully mount and center these so everything lines up. It took me a little thinking, but it was not complicated to mount them perfectly and solidly. I would highly recommend these if the movement fits your needs.
