This is a very economical and more environmentally friendly alternative to replacing the whole filter for the fc-50 food cycler. Refilling the filters was very straightforward: just pry off the top of the filter, dump the old charcoal out, fill with the new charcoal, and pop the top back on. After running a couple cycles with the new charcoal, I didn't notice any particularly strong odors, unlike with the old, spent charcoal.This product comes with 4 bags. The bags weighed about 337g, so accounting for the weight of the bag, the claimed 350g weight in the listing seems a little inaccurate, though one bag contains enough charcoal to completely fill both fc-50 filters with a bit leftover.

I decided to try this product for eliminating/minimizing odor in my cat's litterboxes. I sprinkle some of the pellets at the bottom of the litterbox and then put the regular litter over top of that. So far, it has helped minimize the smell.

Nice big amount of total charcoal for the price. It just comes in plastic bags, so you need to put it into something for use.Seems to work better than that fabric bamboo bags everyone sells. Good nice chunks of charcoal. Consistent sizing. Using it on luggage that I brought something back from folks that had a bad smoke smell, and permeated the luggage. Has already improved it pretty significantly.Pleased with this stuff. Hopefully like other I can just recharge in the sun.

They're fairly small pellets, I imagine the size wouldn't cause any issues regardless of the composter. However, you could always crush them a bit if they were too big. I didn't notice any new smells from using this brand of pellet, compared to the ones that came with my machine.

Great odor absorbing carbon for composters and other areas where odor occurs. fast acting and long lasting.
