It catches all of the water and doubles as a water dish!

These are good quality, unfortunately, they get knocked off too easily. These are gravity mounted on the cage and even full of water they are really light. If they the part that hangs on the gate had a more pronounce notch or a tighter grip. You can drill a small hole then run a wire to secure it....just wish I didn't have to.
