Yarn 5 stars - perfect for learning on as it doesn't split upcrochet hook, although great quality, is too small for the yarn and recommend a greater size to get comfortable.

I love the weight and the texture of this yarn!When I was little girl my Grandma and I would sit together in her front room and make covered hangers for hours on end. This was back in the early 70's (I have one lone surviving hanger from that time still today!). Fast forward fifty years and now I'm the grandma and my granddaughter was coming to stay for a few days. I searched everywhere for the Nylotex we used back then to no avail. I ordered this yarn with the hope of approximating the Nylotex. As you can see from the third picture we were able to cover the hangers! This yarn is a wee bit tighter than what I remember using but it worked beautifully and braided with the same ease that I remember. I used the rest of the blue yarn to crochet an absolutely useless but lovely rectangle (no idea what I was going for, but learning to crochet was fun!). The seller generously included a crochet hook with the yarn. I would recommend a beginner use a larger hook (the stitches are tight and because the yarn is of exceptional quality there isn't any give to leave the stitches loose). This product is wholly recommended for anyone who wants to learn, or who wants to create a great finished product with beautiful colors and a consistent texture.
