After thoroughly reading the manual and connecting the white Rx wire from the LIDARr to the Rx pin of the converter card, I could quickly see the cloud of points in the application you can download from the supplier site. And also by a COM Port monitor application.Pay attention to the baud rate, which is 230400.Finally, I am pleased with the product and recommend it to anybody who wants to try this technology and get into the field of robotics with a small investment of money but large reward of performance, build quality, and even service.

Läuft lautlos und robust, liefert gute Messdaten. Man bekommt ca. alle 0,5° einen Messwert, die 8m Reichweite kann ich bestätigen. Beispiel eines Raumplots siehe Foto. Das Interface am UART eines PyZero habe ich mir mangels eines Beispielscripts selbst mit pyserial zusammengebaut. Der Aufbau des Sendeprotokolls ist im Wiki des Herstellers gut beschrieben. Der Plot im Foto ist mit pygame erstellt.Fazit: endlich ist der Lidar erschwinglich geworden und steht als messfähige Sensortechnologie zur Umgebungserfassung für Bastelprojekte zur Verfügung.

Der WayPonDEV Lidar Sensor hat mich als Bastler wirklich beeindruckt, auch wenn er definitiv kein Gerät für Anfänger ist. Ich habe ihn in Verbindung mit einem Raspberry Pi getestet und die Ergebnisse waren sehr zufriedenstellend, allerdings erfordert der Umgang mit dem Sensor einiges an Vorwissen und Einarbeitungszeit.Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Genauigkeit der Messungen. Sobald man sich durch die etwas komplexere Einrichtung und Datenverarbeitung gearbeitet hat, werden die Bemühungen mit präzisen Ergebnissen belohnt. Das macht den Lidar Sensor zu einem hervorragenden Tool für fortgeschrittene Bastelprojekte und Experimente.Kurz gesagt: Für Technik-Enthusiasten und fortgeschrittene Bastler ist der WayPonDEV Lidar Sensor eine spannende Ergänzung für komplexe Projekte. Anfänger sollten sich jedoch bewusst sein, dass eine gewisse Lernkurve und Geduld erforderlich ist.

Der LIDAR Sensor wird in einer bedruckten Kartonverpackung geliefert.Der Sensor macht einen gut verarbeiteten Eindruck, er läuft praktisch geräuschlos und hat eine Reichweite von ca. 6-7 m. Dem Set liegt neben dem Sensor noch ein Verbindungskabel sowie ein serieller USB Adapter zum Anschluss am Computer oder Raspberry Pie bei.Eine Anleitung liegt dem Paket nicht bei dafür aber einer Karte mit einem QR-Code über welchen man das Wiki zu dem Sensor aufrufen kann wo die Funktionsweise beschrieben ist und verschiedene Libraries zum Einsatz mit Linux, Windows oder Microcontrollern gefunden werden können.Als kleinen Tipp der FHL-LD20 ist kompatibel mit dem LD19 für den es momentan noch mehr Implementierungen gibt.Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Gerät sehr zufrieden und werde versuchen wenn Sensor an meinem mehr Mähroboter zu integrieren.Von mir gibt es volle fünf Sterne.

I recently purchased the WayPonDEV LD14P 2D 360 Degree Lidar and I'm generally very happy with it. The quality is great and the price is very reasonable. I'm still trying to get it to work with my Arduino Uno R3, but I'm confident that I'll be able to figure it out.So far, I've been able to get the lidar to output data to my computer using the UART communication protocol. I've also been able to get it to scan and output data in real time. However, I'm still having trouble getting it to work with my Arduino Uno R3.I've tried using a variety of libraries and tutorials, but I haven't been able to get the lidar to output any data to the Arduino. I'm starting to think that the Arduino Uno R3 may not be powerful enough to handle the lidar's data output.I'm going to try using an Arduino Mega next, which is a more powerful board. If that doesn't work, I'll try using a different microcontroller, such as a Raspberry Pi.Overall, I'm very happy with the WayPonDEV LD14P 2D 360 Degree Lidar. It's a great product for the price, and I'm confident that I'll be able to get it to work with my Arduino.If anyone has any tips on how to get the WayPonDEV LD14P 2D 360 Degree Lidar to work with an Arduino Uno R3, please comment below. I would really appreciate it! (4 Stars for that, might update later)
