These are perfect for project cars, 4x4's, UTV's, or pretty much anything. I also now carry a few of these in my "field repair kit" for my plane and UTV. They're stainless, although maybe not a super high grade they'll be fine in most applications. One can get them as tight as they need to be by hand, as overtightening hose clamps is just about the most common mistake I see when I judge show cars or do tech inspections on race cars.These allow for an easy field fix, but in my project car I use these because I'll connect everything up and test run- but may need to disconnect things again at some point while working on other parts. This kit was ordered to allow me to connect up an engine to some temporary hoses and pipes for test runs and tuning of an engine in a car that doesn't yet have a cooling system.Overall, the quality is very good and it's an assortment of popular sizes. My favorite application for these is for that emergency repair bag when going off-road. Great value, as well, for stainless clamps.

I've seen these used in various car shows on tv, so when I saw these, I new I had to have them. You ever notice when you have an antifreeze leak, it's right at the hose clamp 99.9 percent of the time? This is due to white knuckling a clamp until the rubber is protruding out of the ring gear slots while applauding yourself on a job well done. These key type worm gear hose clamps, will tighten down any hose without compromising the material or said white knuckling. They are made of 304 stainless steel, which is most commonly used for outdoor applications. It will allow surface rust, but there is just enough nickel and chromium to keep it from rusting through. I also like how this 16 pack has the 4 most commonly used sizes of clamps, with each size stamped on the worm gear housing for convenience. Life is Good!!
