I thought this multipack of yarn was great. I like the assortment of colors, and I prefer chenille yarn for my projects (usually stuffed animals). I used a size 4 crochet hook. This chenille yarn behaves as expected, meaning pieces do come off of the yarn, and you have to be careful when tightening a magic ring or the end will shred off. The key is to tighten the magic ring as much as possible at the beginning instead of the end of crocheting all the stitches into the ring. It’s easier to force stitches into the ring than it is to tighten the ring later. This shredding/shedding is standard across all fuzzy, fluffy yarn that I have used like this, and it doesn’t deter me in the least. Overall this is a great set for smaller projects, and the bonus items are a nice addition. This review was for: 12 Pack Multicolor Crochet Yarn, Fluffy Chunky Chenille Yarn for Crocheting, Fuzzy Velvet Yarn for Crochet Kit, Baby Yarn for Crocheting Soft Amigurumi Yarn Set A (100g/87yds Each)

To clarify from the listing which says both “chenille” and “velvet”, this yarn is velvet - it is NOT chenille yarn. This is what I expected from the picture, but I feel it’s the most important thing I can tell you. For reference, I typically crochet amigurumi which are displayed and not played with, and this yarn works great for me.This velvet yarn is great for those who like to make plush items, but don’t like to use only larger 5-6 weight yarns which automatically produce larger items and require more yarn. The size of it is around a 4-5 weight depending on who you ask. This one is thin but easy to work with, and doesn’t shed when you cut it. Personally, I like to use a 3.5mm - 4.0 mm crochet hook with it. I really love that there’s a lot of different colors available. I’ve used this exact yarn before so this was more of a restock / expansion of colors for me on something I know I’ll use. For the same reason, I went ahead and got both color packs. The price is perfect to me at $2.50 per skein. The only downside honestly is the size of the skein - but at the same time, the size is typical for this kind of yarn. I would absolutely get it again, honestly even without a specific project in mind. I’d also purchase multipacks of a single color if the seller had it for the same price point.

I got this pack for my daughter who loves to crochet. I didn't have a specific project in mind for her but she loves this kind of yarn. It is really soft. I love that it comes with a hook, stitch markers and some eyes. The skeins are smaller but on par with other brands of similar yarn. It doesn't seem to fray when I did a few practice stitches and then took them out. You get a really nice variety of colors to work with, which I find really nice. I do wish you could get more of just one specific color so that if you are making a larger project you could get more of specific color. I would say that really that seems to be only big downside to this set. So really keep smaller projects in mind if you are only planning to use one or two colors. As you will not be able to get more of that color.

This set has everything. I really appreciated that it came with a comfortable hook. The rubber handles are my favorite and my daughter "stole" mine...so this was a nice replacement. It comes in a very common size as well - 4mm.The accessories are also great. You can never have enough markers and plastic eyes. The yarn is good quality. I love that it comes out from the center of the spool...super convenient and my preference. I also made a few magic circles with it and then took them out to see if the yarn shed or got frayed. It held up nicely.Very happy with this set.

This yarn is nice if you like working with chenille yarn. Each skein is supposedly 87 yards so there's definitely enough to crochet or knit a lapghan. I wouldn't want to have anything made with it that requires a lot of weaving in of ends, though, because that would waste too much yarn. The company calls it amigurumi yarn but that type of project usually uses cotton or acrylic yarns in sport or worsted weight though chenille yarn could be used for a larger crocheted toy. The price for this twelve-pack of yarn in assorted colors is comparable to other yarns (but only if you want a variety of colors and not just one or two specific colors).
