My wife has been wanting soft close cabinets since we moved into our house, and these were exactly what I needed to make that happen. Easy to install and works perfectly to keep your cabinet doors from slamming shut. I like how they’re able to be adjusted to change the speed and angle that the cabinet doors close. Only downside is that the hinges have a lot of force when opening the cabinet doors. Wish they were adjustable for opening as they are for closing. Easy fix though, by getting angle restrictors to keep doors from flying open. All in all, these are great for the price!

These 1-1/4" 4D overlay soft-close hinges are a fantastic upgrade for my cabinets! The soft-close mechanism works flawlessly, preventing slamming and making my kitchen much quieter. These hinges work great! They turned out to be a direct replacement for the GRASS 860-02 45mm screw centers regular hinges used on my kitchen cabinets. Installation was simple. I was planning to use 2 per door, but I found I was able to get away with using only 1 per door, since they are relatively light weight cabinet doors. The only negative I have is the slowness with which they close. Even with using only 1 hinge on the door, and setting the closing speed to be as fast as possible, they still close a little slower than I would like. I am including pictures of the OEM GRASS brand hinges for your reference.

Thank goodness I did my research before purchasing my first small batch of these to replace what I have. I have since bought a package of 50 to replace all of my cabinets and future needs.. It is extremely important that you understand the gap measurements so you buy the right size. I went on YouTube and asked what this particular got measurement meant and that was a defining factor on this particular purchase so I got the right size. If you are not a contractor, who knows better and you are a do it yourself person, Please go on YouTube to find out the right measurement whether it’s 1 inch one and a quarter inch one and a half inch and so forth. Very simple process to figure that out if you don’t know and a very simple process to install. My only recommendation for installation is to leave the door on the hinges and start replacing one by one beginning with the middle of three brackets. I do not recommend taking the entire door off and installing the brackets on the cabinet or the door first. Complete one bracket at a time is the quickest and most efficient way. My first of 30 doors I took every bracket off and it was a challenge that first door on. I adapted and did one bracket on the door, leaving the door fixed to the cabinet. The entire time was great. Taking the door off and its entirety will take you 15 minutes per door as a do it yourself person but if you do one bracket at a time per door, it will take you 30 seconds per bracket. Sidenote: They operate very well and in most of my kitchen cabinets I only had to replace one or two of the three brackets. Replacing all three makes the door go extremely slow.
