I gave this a four star review only because the pan pastel did not come in a solid condition (must have been handled roughly). Should have received it in a compress form - like compressed powder in a case ,instead it arrived in chunks. Still works, just a bit messy opening the container.

I like the color, but it came all smashed up so it’s a mess to work with.

I do Pet Portraits in Pastel Pencil and decided to order a few of the PanPastels after seeing good reviews from other artists. I love the ease of use and the coverage you can get with them (especially for backgrounds and base colors). I am ordering more colors!

I really love panpastels and I have ordered all of mine from amazon but this time I was very disappointed it came broken in its jar. So I would say it was not packed right. After all it is chalk and breaks easy even if its in its own case.
