I had an outdoor camera stop working and thought that the solar panel was the issue. It turns out the battery in the camera had stopped taking a charge. With this solar panel, I was able to narrow down the problem and even use it to power up the camera after removing the camera's battery. The attached power cable terminates with a microUSB connector. The kit comes with a micro-USB to USB-C adapter, so there are other devices I can try with it. Electrical measurements provided in the product description are 4W, 5V, 1A, 2Ah. However, if volts X amps = watts, then this should be 5 watts of energy. I suspect the wattage specs provided may be rounded down for some reason. The good news is that there is enough power produced to support a different camera that I own. This panel could also power a small water pump for a fountain or backyard water feature, and some DC-powered accent lights. The USB connections have waterproof silicone protectors for outdoor weather resistance. A mounting base and adjustable-angle arm are included.

Perfectly suitable option for powering security camera. Our camera has a rechargeable battery and this panel works perfectly to keep it topped up and working. Easy to install- I had a good location with plenty of sun exposure, your location may vary and will likely impact how well this works, just like any solar panel. Perhaps my only complain might be the base, I felt I had to be very careful tightening the screws to make sure it didn't break. But once snugged up everything is holding solidly. Also, I'm not sure if the output is sufficient to power a camera without a battery.

For about $20, this is a decent little solar panel for the blink cameras. It arrived as described and does the job promised. I do wish it had an option for the siding mount like the cameras do, or perhaps a slightly longer cord; otherwise I'm rather pleased.

I have multiple Blink cameras with some being mounted in places that make changing batteries a little awkward. I've seen some solar panels that will charge batteries installed in the cameras, but this one is different by having a battery as part of the solar panel itself. Typically, the camera will be powered by the battery in the solar panel, but if it became discharged, then the camera's internal battery will take over until the external battery is recharged.I decided to give this a test by placing the camera and solar panel on the patio before moving it to a more permanent location. After letting the panel charge the battery for a few days, I then proceeded to connect the camera and test out the unit. After a week of a mix of wintery weather (some snow, overcast skies, and a little sun), I can confirm the camera is still running on the external battery with the Blink app always reporting the external power is good.In the end, this should reduce the number of times I need to purchase the rather pricey AA lithium batteries. So far, I'm quite pleased with the results. In closing, I should add this was tested on a Blink 4, therefore I did not need the Blink 3 adapter.

Honestly they seem to work great! Been up for 3 weeks, on 5 cameras and all are working perfectly
