I didn’t buy this phone for the usual reasons. I got it because I was tired of being glued to my cell phone 24/7—checking apps, scrolling endlessly, and constantly feeling the itch to “just look real quick” even while watching TV or reading. I wanted my life back.The Panasonic DECT Link2Cell let me disconnect without being cut off. I paired it with my smartphone, tucked the cell phone away in a cupboard, and now I only get calls and texts through the cordless handset. No social media notifications. No news alerts. No emails. No addictive scroll loops. Just the essentials. And no running to another room to find my cell before I miss a call. The 3 handsets are all over my place and easily accessible.It’s honestly been a game-changer. I can walk around the house, do what I need to do, and still get a call or a message if it’s important—but I’m no longer carrying my phone around like a digital leash. This Panasonic Link2cell gave me back control. Yes, whenI go out I have access to email, news, music, and all the other cell phone nonsense. But when I am home, I have a laptop. Why am I using a small cell phone screen? And why while I'm eating?!The sound quality is good, the range is solid, and I love that I can leave my actual cell phone hidden away and still stay connected in a very intentional way. The phone book works well and it's like using phones in 90s, when you could enjoy life beyond a 6-inch screen.If you’re trying to reduce screen time or break the habit of always having your phone in your hand, this is a surprisingly effective and elegant solution. It returns your life to a cell phone being about communication and not algorithms that force you to stay on it. Your eyes, body, and brain will thank you. I've cut my cell phone screen time by 2/3! in less than a week! I have no desire to check my phone, because I know if a call or text comes through I will get it on my Panasonic.

I bought these to replace a set that was over ten years old. I chose a Panasonic to replace a set because that set was incredible (and lasted over ten years.).Pro: Back-lit buttons are nice, the display is fine, definitely better than those phones that are amber black-lit. Plenty of room in your Phone Book and blocked numbers list. Quality construction, I dropped one a couple of times on hard surfaces, no damage. You can set up the phones as a baby monitor. Big reason I bought these is the call block button - block calls immediately anytime whether you’ve answered it or not. Display a previous call and block the number. With the old set I’d have to go thru multiple menu settings to block one call.Con: Battery life isn’t that great, don’t leave them off the hook overnight, but that may improve once the batteries are go through some charging cycles. Reception range is average, definitely less than our old set.This set is really fine, except for some disappointing operation. The reception is not as strong as my previous set. The sound quality of the speaker phone is poor, distorted. My old set lit up if you had a voice mail message or a missed call. This one only lights up for messages. I miss that feature. The buttons are too sensitive, many times when the phone rings, if I pick it up it would answer the call before it could display the caller ID.Despite all of the above I would still recommend this set, although battery life and reception may be downers. And it’s Panasonic.

Sound quality is adequate however despite the cost, this phone is poorly designed. 1) Message waiting light is on the back of the handset so you can't readily see if it is blinking. 2) Ringing phone does not answer automatically when picked up from cradle, you must also press the Talk button. 3) The Talk button is poorly illuminated and hard to find in the dark. 4) Hard to tell if handset is charging after placing in the cradle as there is no indicator light (yes the screen reads 'charging' but is impossible to read in low light). Our ancient Uniden phone had none of these issues.

THE GOOD- Works with landlines, Cellular, and VOIP.- The audio quality is excellent - especially with a hands-free headset.- Same familiar design Panasonic has used for years.- It is a feature packed handset (reading the user manual is highly desirable).- Automated transfer of cellular phone-book entries to the handset. It is better to load these manually.- A battery charge will last a long time.- Once the handset is setup properly, you forget it is actually paired to a cellular phone.THE BAD (not so bad)- The "Equalizer" setting is very important for getting the best audio quality. Unfortunately the setting instructions are buried deep in the manual. It should have been included in the Setup Guide. The setting can only be changed while you are actually talking on the phone.- You really need to read the manual to get the most out the handset with a cellular phone.- The Panasonic handset screen is not large enough to display more than the basic name and number after doing an "automated transfer" of your cellular phone-book entries. Example, if you have multiple phone numbers associated with company ABC you will not be able to identify the "Sales" number from the "Technical Help-desk" number on your handset. You will have two separate phone numbers for company ABC.Yes, I would purchase this handset again!
