I just had my 5th baby and wish I had had these covers for the first 4. Finally a newborn cover that actually fits a newborn. Previously I had used my trusted thirsties xsmall covers but those did not fit a tiny 6-7lb newborn so I would either have to fold them way down or just use a homemade fleece cover. But these actually fit, the lowest rise is great for not irritating the cord stump, the prints are so cute and they are very affordable. When we are all done with them they will also make a great size for dolls. Buy them, even if your newborn outgrows them quickly it is worth it to not be fumbling with trying to get a cover to fit while you are so tired from giving birth.

Love this style of cover, the Velcro top helps for quick diaper changes and is nice for when your baby is in between snap sizes on the other style of covers

My husband and I wanted to do cloth diapers with our daughter, but where a little intimidated by the snaps, as well as didn't want to invest in a whole set of newborn cloth diapers she would quickly outgrow. This cover with it's velcro made cloth diapering a lot more approachable and fit her before all of her one size covers and pockets did. I'm not sure I would want velcro for older children (they can undo it easier then a snap), but for a newborn, it worked great
