When my order arrived, the cellophane the pieces were packaged in was split and the flower arrangement holders were loose in the Amazon bag. The pieces are pretty sturdy. I originally thought I might be able to form the grid over the edges of the vase, but the metal grid is so hefty that I can't imagine this would work. The pieces come with several clips that the Amazon pictures show as being clipped on the metal grid and the edge of the vase. Unless the flower arrangement covers the top of the vase, I think the clips would be very noticeable in a bad way.The floral grids come in two styles. One pattern has larger round holes for larger stems. The other pattern has smaller openings. Both of the patterns are attractive.There are 3 sizes of grids. The smaller pieces will fit inside the neck of my larger vases if I decide I don't want the metal grid to be visible.These flower grids will be great for keeping my flowers standing in the center of my wide mouth vases.

Don’t know what the clips are for but for the price it was worth it
