Great cast iron dutch oven! Cooks evenly and big enough for a 3lb roast with veggies and broth. Like it better than the crock pot as I can open the lid and check on it during the cooking process. Note that it is a heavy sturdy pot. Easy to clean. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Considering that a comparable Le Creuset goes for $299, this is a great value at $66 total. The lid has evenly spaced raised dots to evenly distribute condensation during cooking. Make sure you use oil or liquid for stovetop cooking and bring the heat up gently to medium. Easy transfer to the oven. For cleanup, apply a paste of baking soda and dish washing liquid and let it sit. Use a nylon scruff pad and the baked on material will come right off to look like new.

This cast iron dutch oven is a well-crafted addition to any kitchen. I recently started baking sourdough breads and was looking for a good cast iron pot like this for quiet some time. The 5.5q capacity is just perfect. The enamel coating ensures even heat distribution and makes cleaning easy. It comes with cotton potholders and a trivet pot mat. I strongly recommend this item.

I’m in my sourdough era and was trying to find a Dutch oven that will reach at 500 degrees. The size is great and the durability is spot on. I haven’t had any rust issues either.
