Fit perfectly for my 2008 4Runner. Easy to install. Just make sure you line up the grooves on the handle with the lines on the OEM lock when you push it into the handle.The gray color looks close but I didn’t expect an exact match on a 14 year old glove box. This item works perfectly and is much cheaper than an official OEM handle from Toyota.

My wife's glove box latch had a part that broke on her 4th Gen 4Runner (2004) so it no longer closed and locked in place. I picked up this replacement and could not be happier. The color was a perfect match and the unit was easy to install. Just remove the two screw on the inside lid of the glovebox to remove the old latch mechanism, then pop out the key plug (I had to remove the latch on the old one and pry open the little plastic pieces that were holding it in place). Once I had the plug out a few light taps from a rubber mallet got the key plug in this new latch, once that's all in place and locked in you just pop the new latch in place where the old one was, tighten the two screws and then you're off to the races.Could not be happier with this unit!
