Just wrapped it around your bike tube, orient it according to your application then tighten the screw. Not much else to do! It looks solid and held my two derailleur cables as it should. No complaints.

Great little clamp for bikes that came without brazed on shift bosses. This easily replaced my old downtube friction shifters on an early 80s Trek. I set up old Shimano bar end shifters that can index with a Shimano SIS freewheel to stop the long reach to the downtube shifters. The Origin8 cable clamp (28.6 for my steel frame Trek downtube) snugs up perfectly, stays in place, looks good, is light and super ease to use and aligness the cables perfectly along the down tube. There is no need to thread your cable though a little hole but rather just drop the cable in the open slot and snug up the cable housing to the recessed area and pull tight to your derailleurs. Some of the best things are simply designed, look good and most importantly work well. And it's inexpensive.

Excellent produit, pratique lorsqu'un vélo ne possède aucun point d'arrêt pour installer des câbles sur un cadre. Facile à utiliser et installer.Simply perfect product when your bike doesn't have any cable stoppers on the frame. Easy and simple to use.

I have had this only 1 day. IF it does not break it's a winner. I felt the price was STEEP at seven dollars even with free shipping. I felt it could have been sold for 3 bucks and still shipped for free. It's only a clamp stop. sigh.....That is why I bought only 1 of them. IF they were sold for less plus shipping they could be shipped in the same box and then I could have bought some several and paid less for each individual part like I do with other vendors..I am not going to stock this part and I will not buy anymore of these than I absolutely have to have at this price. I considered buying some of the double ones but they are very over priced but I needed this one and its working well..I will use other methods to keep from spending all that money if I can find a way. WHY did I buy this part? I just rebuilt a 34 year old bike and it did not have a cable stop or cable guide below the bottom bracket like our modern bikes do. In fact there was no cable stop on the bike for the front derailleur at all. When that bike was assembled years ago the cable ran in a solid housing all the way from the shifter to the front Derailleur which accepted the cable with it's own build in cable stop right on the derauilleur installation clamp. It was sort of like the old Lawn mower gas feed system. When I rebuilt the drive train I changed it from a 10 speed to an 18 speed drive and of course I had to replace the old front Derailleur with a new one.. To do it right I had to either braze a cable stop on the frame or buy this part. It cost 7 bucks for a simple clamp on part but I had to pay the price or spend a lot of time with the brazing tools so I opted for this part and IT DOES WORK WELL..SO FAR...It's a nice looking part too. Before you buy measure the tube that you intend to install this on..One good way to do that is to use the jaws of an adjustable wrench that you can gently clamp onto the tube, one that will allow you to set the jaws and will stay set. Then you can use a ruler and measure between the jaws and you should be very close to what size you need to buy..I bought the 28.6 since my down tube is about 1.5 inches wide measured from one side to the other side not measured around..This part bolted right onto the down tube and fit well.. HINT.. When you clamp something onto a bike if you will cut a small piece of inner tube rubber and put it UNDER the clamp of the item being clamped to the frame that will keep it from slipping on the frame..This fit closely but I inserted a half inch by 1/4 piece of rubber and it's staying put. This is HINGED on one side and has a clamp bolt on the other side. IF you are not careful you can damage this part..DO NOT get excited and over joyed when you tighten this onto your bike. You CAN strip it out if you over tighten or you can break the small hinge. This thing is narrow...If you use the rubber trick under the clamp you will have some flexibility with torque which may save you from over torquing and breaking something..You will need a small Allen wrench to install it.. I suggest you buy a set from your local Wallyworld. I paid 6 bucks for a set that fold onto a handle. They fit most all of the parts on my bike..You can do this if you go slow and think it through....If you need,,, it buy it, you can't make any cheaper..Good luck, Chief
