I have to say that I must not have read the description or it is not in there. I was expecting a metal box. I am happy to say that it is plastic. I do wish it was a tab bit heavier because I have knocked it off of my desk a few times. LOL. Otherwise, it is sturdy and looks just like a boxcar.

Thought this would be good to help organize one of the bedrooms, which we call 'Shipping and Receiving' so the FedEx motif was perfect. Turned out to be pretty useful, although I wish the smaller compartments were deeper.
