The box is sturdy plastic, not bendable or soft. The clips keep the lid on securely. The top sectioned compartment is perfect for bandaids, ointment, gauze, tape, small scissors, small packets of pills, and things like that. Noting on that top rack will shift as the dividers almost touch the lid when closed. The bottom part is one big box with no separations which worked out perfect of place our bigger things and medications.

Love this kit. It’s great for organizing and storing meds and first aid stuff. It works great for me and the size is also great. It’s very sturdy and the top compartment is divided which makes it combining for organizing smaller stuff like band aides etc.

This is a great med box- admittedly more than I wanted to spend on an empty box to store things but is great for taking to college dorm. Very organized. I hesitated buying it both because of the price and because reviews said cough med bottles wouldn’t fit with the upper tray. We had no problem getting them in. I think if I had wanted to leave them in their original box they might have been a bit too tall but out of the paper box and with the cup inverted on the lid they fit in perfectly fine. A few slots on the top tray are a little oddly sized to fit much but all in all very pleased.
