Before receiving the Arkfeld Pro I was excited to experience what appeared to be an excellent flashlight. Upon unboxing, my anticipation was confirmed and my EDC has proven, not only how good a flashlight the Arkfeld Pro is, but how important it is to always have a flashlight. OLIGHT took their time to deliberately make a good quality flashlight. I gave as gifts to 3 family members and will be buying a second for myself. Highly suggested.Take Aways:- The magnetic charging mechanics are intuitive and seamless. Easily connecting and immediately seating properly. Though, a USB C connector would be nice, it isn't required due to the battery life.- The selector switch is very intuitive and doesn't easily get moved in pocket. Though it does happen from time to time.- First interaction with changing light settings seemed odd, but once familiar it is quite smooth. Hold for light power cycling, triple tap for super light. It just takes a little experimenting to be smooth with changing light power settings.- The battery life is impressive. I use it daily for short durations on medium and I haven't had to charge for roughly a month.- The UV setting is truly amazing for cleaning. When I first received it, playing around, it forced me to immediately clean my stove top. I also found this setting to be perfect for locating and thoroughly cleaning pet stains on carpet. It causes the accident area to glow a faint neon allowing you to ensure complete cleaning.- The laser is a properly working laser. The light/laser feature is really nice. Though I have not had a need for it practically. If your use case is identifying objects from distance, in low-light situations, this is the tool. The light cast is soft ambience and does not overpower the laser. Providing just enough accessory light to emphasize upon the laser's point.- The belt clip is stout, rigid metal and does not bend easily. It has nice clip pressure for grip retention and seems to be spring steel(?).- The coating and finish seems durable but does take wear from keys, etc. Albeit this only gives it a cool look and makes it appear well aged and overly used. The time frame for this topical wear is delayed and after 3 months of daily carry, with car keys, has only shown minute indentation of aluminum housing.Foot Notes:- I have noticed that the form factor is not intuitive with firearms. If you need a light to work alongside a firearm in a two hand hold, though capable, this light is not ideal. The button location needs to be on the tail and the rectangular form doesn't seat like a cylindrical light does. Turning on the light and transitioning into a two hand hold isn't practical in a threat scenario. But this isn't a negative to the light, but an observation of usage.

I got it about two weeks ago, fully charged it, have been using it constantly every day, and it is still fully charged.Laser pointer is very bright and reaches far distances (300 to 400 meters, if not more).UV light is bright enough to show you grease and other stains in a dark room, however it is not UVC light ( therefore it does not work for killing bacteria or air particles).White light is bright enough for what I have been needing it. However if what you want is a strong beam flashlight, this is not your option. Not bad, just not SUPER strong beam ( although it has a fairly good Turbo mode that compensates for those moments when you truly need a lot of light). It is very light and portable, which makes it perfect to carry around clipped in your pocket. Personally ( so that you understand how comfortable, portable, and compact it is), I carry it in the same pocket I keep my work ID, AirPods, Victorinox Pocket knife, and a lip balm; and I still have space to put my hand in.Finally, the charging station/cable seems durable, and the box comes with clear instructions on how to use the different modes it has.

We use these at work in many areas. The UV light helps with our coated boards. The lazer is great during presentation and classes. And the flashlight is great for checking our solder pots as well as many other things. But this is also great for home uses when the power goes out its handy having a small portable flashlight ready and available. The lazer is great to play with the cats and the UV light is great for hotels/ motels.

I love this thing! It has multiple levels of brightness, it has a clip that can work in either direction, a magnetic base for quickly mounting it to a nearby metal structure, it's waterproof ... which mostly describes the flashlight that I've been carrying for years, but this one also has a battery level indicator, a laser pointer, and a UV light (which reveals a remarkable number of otherwise invisible things).

Hi. I’m a construction superintendent, I build homes for a living. I was looking for a good penlight. After going through a few industry favorites (streamlight etc.) I discovered this light. This is the best light I have ever used for daily carry. The power light is perfect for basements without electricity and inspections. The moon light is perfect for when I wake up before my wife and I need to get around the room without waking her up. The laser is excellent for pointing out framing issues to trades and learning about issues from inspectors. I even use the UV light to ensure the cleanliness of bathrooms before closing on homes. The best part is, I only charge this thing every two weeks — and I use it EVERY DAY. I use the high power beam for at least 20-30m every day, and the laser all the time. It works perfectly in 11F (lowest temp tested). I haven’t tested subzero temps, but it’s never given me any issues. I literally never leave the house without it.I don’t use the UV light all that much to be honest. We have a long haired cat that pukes all the time, so sometimes I use it to see whether or not my shag carpet is clean. However, I’ve heard you can use it to see ringworm infections etc. on yourself and animals, as well as to detect oil leaks in car engines. TBH I don’t use it much, but it’s awesome that I have it IF I want it. Like any tool, more capability is better.I can’t say much as to how the Arkfield Pro compares to the Arkfield Ultra, as I don’t own the Ultra yet. I believe the only differences are that the Ultra has 100 more lumens of light and a proprietary aluminum alloy body that is tougher and more resistant to scratches. In order to be persuaded to spend the extra $30 on the Ultra, I would need to see an increase in battery life (which there is not, as far as I can tell) and a more significant increase in lumens and possibly more options for brightness. I’m probably going to get the ultra at some point because I love this company and I’m kind of a collector of penlights, but I feel like the difference isn’t enough for the normal risk-averse consumer to go for the upgrade.Ultimately, this light is THE light if you use your light on the job. Whether you’re a mechanic, a framer, an electrician, a plumber, or a super: this light is for you. It fits with a utility knife in the mid-thigh height side pocket of any pair of work pants (you know the one). I put my sharpies on the other side and I’m ready for the day. This light is daily carry whether I’m working or not, though. I’ll bring this bad boy to the bar. 10/10, 100%, 1. This is a perfect light. Look no further because you’ve found the one.
