The video has great instructions on what to check for with the power supply and switch before needing a new motor. We tested both and ending up needing this part. Just a few bolts to remove and cords to disconnect. Easy to reassemble and reclining sofa works perfectly now

The electric motor on one side of our reclining loveseat has been nonfunctional for quite a while (longer than I care to admit) because we assumed it would be tremendously difficult to replace. Not so. This motor assembly simply bolts on to the undercarriage of the love seat and could not have been easier to install. (The hardest thing was just lifting up the love seat to get to it.) If you own electric recliners, it's likely you will need one of these at some point, and we are very satisfied with our purchase.
