What a great idea right, a king size shaker the size of a urn (as another reviewer noted). I did attempt to use the item for intended purpose- making a large batch of cocktails for a party as to not have to repeat the process 5 times in a row. Beware, this is a low quality cocktail shaker with a poor seal that LEAKS. What fun trying to pour cocktails for your friends and making a big mess all over the counter. Not to mention good liquor wasted! Find another shaker!

This made a perfect urn for my late grandfathers ashes. He loved Martinis and we thought what better way to store his ashes than in a classic cocktail shaker. I was a little worried about the finish and feel of the metal given some people said it was "cheap" feeling. the lid was difficult to get on and off. I can see how this would be really hard to use as a shaker. But we had it engraved with his birth and death dates, name and a little graphic of a martini glass with a Finnish toast and it looks beautiful. I am happy to report the ashes JUST fit. I am not sure if every one makes the same amount in the end, so not sure if other ashes would fit or not. But it worked great for us.
