Honest review: the good parts: I love this idea, small unit has a nice low profile and the display numbers are perfect size (roughly 1-1/4” or almost 1-1/2”, shape and white colour is great. Only 1 cord, easy to move and place anywhere. Super easy install: just plug in the open OBDII port, and place the unit, tuck the wire. Done! The bad parts: It never read accurate speed compared to the real speedometer, and was always high. At around 30kph, it reads 33-34kph, at 80kph it reads 85-87kph, at 110kph it reads 116-119kph. I followed the “instructions” to adjust the speed and after a week of trying to fix it repeatedly using the correct sequence it still never worked out to read the correct speed, I doubt its a user error or I D 10 T error because I really tried to be thorough in following the instructions.I found it too bright at night, and too dim in the day and try as I may I could not get the brightness fixed for both using the adjustment settings. Yes they try to address this in the “instructions”Instructions: printed using like 0.1 font. Good luck reading that without a microscope. Seriously would have cost them 2 cents more to print it on a half page and I would have gladly paid it for something easier to read.Buttons/functionality on unit: I call this a ‘gonky’ design (yes ‘gonky’ is a made-up word in my family… it just means ‘looks good, but poorly designed to actually use’) When installed on dash, the 4 buttons are facing the wrong way (facing windshield and out of reach and view) hopefully you memorized which button is which. Each time you need to change settings you WILL need to pull over and park. There is no possibility of changing settings on the fly while driving.Buttons again: its a jenky little setup with only 4 buttons so to change settings you need to press odd combinations of long-press / short-press / combined with number displays and sequences. You will need to keep the instructions at-the-ready somewhere in the car at all times (along with the aforementioned microscope)Has potential and other reviews show success, so I am not sure if I got a bad unit or if I just got what I paid for. I paid $36 CDN and most other units I considered were $45-$120.I love the idea of a HUD, makes it safer keeping eyes up on the road and certainly this was a F-ton cheaper than bumping up to the premium trim in my car to get a OEM built-in HUD which would have added close to $3000 because thats the douchy way how car manufacturers price the packages.Pictures: yes passenger took all the pictures, yes those were the posted speeds in kilometres per hour, yes the speed on that one highway was 110kph, so no, I was not speeding. This unit comes with optional windshield reflector patch (did not use)Hope you like the honest review. This unit is likely going back and I will try another. :)
