The build quality is high and it feels nice to touch - however, the bottom piece that connects to the inner protruding piece whose function is to break up the coffee when you shake it, does not magnet or secure to the rest of the device like the other pieces do. It just sits lightly on top of the inner rim at the bottom….I’ve accidentally moved this piece just a touch and spilled coffee everywhere more times and I can count. I really wish that part was like the rest and magnets to secure the bottom better. And without that feature, I don’t use this much except for dosing like I would use a plain old fashioned cup. And lifting that piece to release the grounds below does not work like other shakers, every time the coffee falls chunk-ily and and messily and not smooth like in the videos you see online of other shakers. I’ve tried this with all different grind ranges as well.Currently would not really recommend. Finer ground coffee also sticks pretty well to the inside, even after brushing it away. Easy to clean with a quick rinse but with no water, you’ll get a buildup pretty quick.Also, if you want to use the small dosing funnel part alone on your portafilter for the Breville Barista Express - it magnets very well, BUT it will not fit under the rest to catch the beans and you’ll have to hold it up with your hand well below, risking more spillage and kind of negating the point of a funnel limiting mess.Add magnets to the inner, primary piece, make the detachable funnel part small enough to fit in the grind rest, and I’d purchase this in a heartbeat.

The product is made out of metal and feels very sturdy. It does a fantastic job of funneling coffee grinds. It's definitely made making coffee less of a hassle.Please get a funnel. I didn't know that such a simple thing could make that much of a difference.It has four pieces: bottom, top (connected by magnet), lid, and a packer (not sure what to call it). All the parts are metal. You can directly place it under a coffee grinder or just take the top and use as a funnel.

Great product. It’d be perfect if the lid was magnetic.
