I've gotten a few nogy lamps before on Amazon. This is the only one where I have encountered these problems, but boy are there problems. The shade was way too tight to be able to stretch over the frame, not to mention came pre-torn around the wood accents. Even with the frame bending it tore the shade further in multiple places. It was quite literally unassemblable. QC seems like a major issue with this model.

The Nogy Japanese Floor Lamp is a stunning addition to my home! Its minimalist rice paper design casts a soft, warm glow that instantly creates a cozy, Zen-like vibe. The sturdy wooden frame and dimmable feature make it both practical and stylish, perfect for my living room corner. Assembly was quick and easy, and the quality feels top-notch.

I’m very happy with this lamp. I like it best on the floor. It’s big enough to be a small floor lamp. It arrived in perfect condition; the rice paper was intact and had no holes. It was easy to assemble, just a few minutes. The lightbulb was a bit too white, probably around 3200K, which is a nice middle warm/cold light, but I prefer my light to be a bit more on the warmer side, around 2800K. So I’ve replaced the lightbulb. The lightbulb that I bought is not dimmable. Using a non-dimmable lightbulb in the lamp is possible, but the switch is a dial design that starts at 60% low, and then you dial/increase it up to 100%. Because the lightbulb that I bought is a non-dimmable design, the light will flicker a bit until the switch dial is at 100%. It’s fine, and I could have looked for a dimmable bulb to alleviate this issue. The dimmer only goes down to around 60%, so if you prefer very dim settings, you are out of luck. I would buy it again.

This Japanese-style lamp is undeniably stylish and adds a beautiful, soft ambiance to any room. The design is clean and minimalist, with a lovely square shape reminiscent of traditional paper lanterns. It pairs well with a variety of decor, especially if you’re into warm, cozy lighting.Assembly is straightforward and won’t require a PhD in engineering—always a win. The included LED bulb with the dimmer switch on the cord is a nice touch. It’s great to have control over the brightness, whether you want to set the mood for relaxation or need a bit more light to read or work. Now for the downside: the paper cover on mine was smashed on one side right out of the box. The shipping package was in perfect shape, so this seems like it was damaged during manufacturing or poorly packed. A lamp like this thrives on its clean lines and symmetry, so even a small flaw can detract from its aesthetic. I’ve ordered a replacement and am crossing my fingers that the next one arrives intact.Overall, this lamp is an elegant addition to any space, but the fragile paper cover is a risk. If you get one in perfect condition, it’s a real winner. Rating: 4 stars. I’m taking a point off for the quality control issue, but if the replacement comes in pristine condition, it might earn a perfect score.

I got this gorgeous architectural lamp to place on my bar going into my kitchen. It felt like the right “weight” visually and the option to dim the bulb is a nice feature for evenings when I want a bit of light in the kitchen without being too harsh. This was very well packaged and carefully wrapped including foam cushioning. The instructions were clear enough, though during the process it felt like I was doing something wrong since the delicate metal legs remained wobbly. As you attach the upper metal frame and then press all the components together, you can get a feel for the stability. The screw tightened really well. It’s certainly a delicate piece by nature but not wobbly or loose once it all comes together.I was so scared I would tear the lovely rice paper! I didn’t and it’s a perfect but snug fit over the metal frame around the bulb. Just go slowly and maybe add some counter pressure from the bottom of the metal frame as you’re pulling downward from the bottom wooden ring of the rice paper shade. It all comes together beautifully just give yourself a minute to respect the delicacy of the paper and you’ll have a gorgeous end result.Highly recommend ! It feels a bit modern and vintage at the same time and works easily in my neutral minimal living space.
