This is a great replacement when you need to wire or in my case completely rewire a trailer.Just connect your lights and brake wiring to the junction box .

The cable and plug are good to go.The plastic case and cable clamps are flimsy, break easily.The clamps don't not tolerate any movement, and tear away easily from the case... if the cable moves or twists.As such, not a good candidate for reliable Trailer connections.I would buy only cable, and use a weatherproof outlet box, such as can be found at hardware stores for the connections.

This is not the first nilight product I've bought. But the first one I'm disappointed about. For the last 40 years of automotive wiring on light duty vehicles and trailers. The wire color has been the same for each specific type of light, brake light, left or right turn, electric brake, reverse, and auxiliary power. Only 2 of these wires are the same as it's always been. So be very attentive when you hook it up! Sad part about it is they used most of the standard colors. Just not in the standard position.

Good quality product that is very useful on any trailer for wiring solutions. However, the color codes are not the rv standards. The labels are correct to what is wired in the plug just colors are not what is standard for turn signal wires and running lights. Good crimps, good rubber seals, good plug.Read labels, don't go by standard color code
