Put a handle on it and set it to work sharpening saws. Hard steel, works great. Sharpened 10s of times by now and just don’t think about it, which is the best thing you can say about a file.

Nicholson Quality, and it's already dovetailed 3 revolver sights, for a colored plastic insert, to be installed using plastic steel epoxy.

I bought this for sharpening rip and cross-cut saws in the 10-14 tpi range. It cuts nice and smooth when I have the saw plate clamped down appropriately. The file can clog if you're not watching. Overall it's just the right size, performance and price. Recommended.
