After watching a bunch of reviews I decided to buy this pillow to hopefully replace my full size normal pillows I bring to camping trips. You get an air pillow with some foam on top: Really nothing special about it. It feels absolutely nothing like a real pillow. If you blow it up tightly, the neck angle would be way too angled, and it just feels a usual air pillow with some padding on it. If you deflate it a bit it gets quite noisy and wobbly. I've been laying on this for 45 minutes and I hate it: My neck is already starting to hurt. I would not pay more than CAD $30 for this. Strongly debating sending it back or selling it.

What I like:I probably rated this higher than I would if I wasn't comparing it to other camp specific pillows. It absolutely has several shortcomings, but comfort isn't one of them, and that is paramount for me. It's amazingly comfortable. Nothing else comes close. Even my home pillows lose to this when it comes to overall comfort (though it isn't big enough to use as a home bed pillow). The inflatable chamber is easy to use for inflation and deflation. The materials are high qualityIt's a quiet pillow even for having an inflatable bladderSurprisingly warm even on the coldest nightsWhat I don't like:It is not easy to let just a little air out; a secondary button to adjust air pressure would be nice. To get a good adjustment you need to remove any pressure and open the valve, which may or may not let out too much air. It's smelly. I've had it for a while now and don't keep it compressed so that it can breathe. That foam STINKS of chemicals to high hell. I even did a gentle sink wash on it and it still stinks. Another bit of foam may be in order. With that said, being able to tailor a bit of foam to your liking can be a positive.I don't understand why there are bungee straps on the back; they seem like overkill and take up space. Maybe it is for longevity of the bladder so you don't over-stress the seams but... who knows. IMO it's unnecessary and better options could have been exercised.Doesn't pack down as small as I'd like, and it is strangely difficult to get back in its attached bag (why is it attached?)Spendy. This isn't cheap. Is it too expensive for what it is? Maybe, check out my 'alternative' option below.Alternative:You can literally spend $6 for an inflatable travel/camp pillow here. You could buy a $5 bit of foam and cut it down to fit the size of that pillow. You could put all that in a small fabric pouch and voila you have the same thing for about $15 total (or less). My guess is that it'd compress better than this does too...Final thought:If you have the money, and you're willing to sacrifice weight/space in your pack for a super comfy pillow for a great night's sleep then this is a product for you; it works as advertised and IMO is well worth the sacrifices. Having bought it, I can see that alternative options are available that'd work as well, but that isn't something everyone would want to do.

First and foremost it feels like a real pillow and is comfortable for a side or back sleeper. It is almost as wide as a normal pillow and just as thick when inflated. It inflates very easily through a check valve that prevents leaking with about four breaths. The cotton pillow sleeps cool and is removable for washing. It as a loop to secure it in place if you are hammock camping. To deflate, you just unscrew and lift up the valve and then squeeze. Then you can stuff it into the built in carrying case if you like. A good tip I saw online was to roll a buff over it to use as a pillowcase, which makes it even easier to wash. Would highly recommend!

Amazing travel/camp pillow. My favorite yet. The memory foam layer beats all the rest IMO for comfort. Longer length pillow for this model too, so you don't roll off. I also tried the Fillo Elite Luxury pillow...It felt like sleeping on one of those inflated plastic packing pouches put into a fabric case. Sooo thin. And tiny. This one however is a good, durable material. The fabric case is soft. And the memory foam layer brings it all home.I'm a side/front sleeper, so I like the option to attach a rolled jacket underneath it for extra height if need be.As others have mentioned, when I first got the pillow, the foam layer smelled horribly of chemicals. Aired it out for a week outdoors. Now the smell is faint and no longer noticeable to me.I've had no problem getting it back into its stuff sack either.5 stars
