Like much of Neewer's equipment, this is a good quality 19mm rod set, that's ideal for my Sony FX9 video camera. The two bars connect well together with a solid metal screw extension. I just wish it came with two of everything as really, it's just a rod system for one side of the camera otherwise. For my set up, I needed double the rods and I'm a little baffled why it only comes with two different sized rods and a connecting screw. Well made, but really just a half set for larger cameras.

If you need a truly sturdy support rod set, this is the one for you. Made from stainless steel, it is extremely durable and heavy-duty, though it is quite heavy. If the weight isn't an issue, it fits perfectly into any rail guard and even includes an extra extension for longer setups.I really liked this product, but I would recommend it only if you need a heavy-duty rod, as the weight is significant.

These are pretty nice, I think they're a little heavier than carbon though. Just FYI this is only for 1 side, you need to order 2 in order to get a matching pair to use as a pair of rails

So you get two different lengths of rod with this kit. I expect that if you anticipate heavier loads as part of your rig build these will provide a much higher level of support for your accessories with the disadvantage of additional weight. They are machined beautifully and certainly speak to NEEWER's standard of quality. I think I like having the ability to deploy these if needed but for the sake of weight, my "normal" rig build requires a pair of equal-length rods. These might be good for some heavier follow-focus rigs that mount on a single side.

I mean, it's very good quality. Fits each other like a glove, all with a professional shine and finish.Solid, sturdy stainless steel, it won't have issues supporting any camera you throw at it.But the length of the 30cm leaves something to be desired and the 20cm clearly not long enough, so I'm somewhat obligated to combine them into 50cm, but that's just like walking around with one leg instead of two. That, plus... uh, end caps? You leave them open-ended like that and allow it to collect gunk and dust inside when there are precision-milled threading in there?
