Very pleased. Cat accepted.-Maine Coon-I scoop daily-Cat goes #1 and #2 once a day, sometimes #1 twice-Smaller size box (16"L x 12"W x 4"H). Litter is 1" deep. Used bigger boxes in the past, but she' fine with small.-box is in a large, well ventilated litter box cabinet near an air filter.-tracking, I keep chinelle mat (looks like sea anenome) in front of the cabinet exit to catch and trim the paw hair.-no litter additives for fragrance/odorClumps form solid, stay together, easy to scoop. Even when still a little wet, the clump stays intact or a piece might break off. Minimal of any flaking off small pieces of clump. I haven't had lingering odor issues. The tiny bits of clumps flaking off was my issue with grass seed litter. Thought I'd try and alternative to grass seed litter (SmartCat). Grass seed litter was clumping well, but maybe 1% would fall off. That 1% accumulates creating lingering odor and I'd have to dump the whole box every month. I tried using box additives, Sprinkle & Sweep worked best but is $$. Arm & Hammer made things worse.I'm not having dust issues. I keep clean litter in a 5 gallon bucket. When I need to add more to the box, I scoop some out with an up-cycled plastic container for nuts. My cat digs in the box, but no dust. Some prices of course get out, but using less litter helps.Tracking has been way down, almost to nothing. Grass seed tracked and would fill up the mat. I do all the basic stuff to limit tracking, but grass seed would still get out. This barely tracks and not as much is getting left in the mat either. My cat doesn't cover #2, but has sometimes covered with this litter. Not sure why, but at least it spares me the usual smell of doom ☠️Overall, pretty good. Probably will switch over. Cost is good and I like the quality.

My search for the best litter is finally over, and if they ever stop making this, I’ll probably cry. I’ve had cats for 17 years, and for most of those 17 years, I used the typical clay litters. I tried everything to make the task of cleaning easier, but nothing really helped. It was always smelly, messy, difficult, and super wasteful. Last year, I tried a corn-based litter, and it was a nightmare. The smell was ungodly, and the litter itself practically atomized and covered my whole house because it was such a fine dust. This litter is incredible. One 26 lb bag lasts over a month with two cats (I used to go through 40 lbs of the clay litter per month). The alpine scent is pleasant, not cloying or perfume-y, and the litter itself does an excellent job of controlling odor. You literally can’t tell we have a litter box until you’re physically there cleaning it out, and even then it’s not bad. It also Does. Not. Stick. To anything. The clay litter used to just build up over time on the scooper, necessitating frequent washing (which was gross), but this litter doesn’t stick to the scooper or the box. It forms solid, lightweight clumps, and it doesn’t break apart like clay litter when you’re scooping, which is why it lasts such a long time. It also doesn’t track like other litters… yes, my cats like to jump out of the boxes like their tails are on fire, so I do sweep up a few grains here and there, but it’s never stuck on their paws or getting tracked all over creation like it used to be with the old litters. I can’t recommend this enough… try it!

I had 4 kittens & was learning all about how to care for them-they were only a lil over a month old!! Got this litter after realizing that small kittens should start off with pellets first because they can try to consume sandy litter (which they did try to do!) Immediately I came across this litter. Been using it for almost 2months now. This was a more natural & safer option for sure! The 26lb bag is soo big I couldn’t even carry it on my own at first! So worth the price for the quantity!! Also love that it’s all natural!! I feel so good knowing that. Oddly enough I really love the smell of it too lol. It definitely has an earthy aroma like many others mentioned. And it’s very easy to clean up compared to other litter- doesn’t track. It lasts a long time too! As a pregnant woman right now I usually have to end up cleaning my kittens litter boxes.. well I love that it masks the smell pretty good (when my kitties do good covering their poo) and it really does reduce the ammonia ! At first it was a little difficult to clean but then I learned that I just have to scoop out the poop-and if there’s parts that look dark (because of their urine) I scoop that out too. Then I mix the pellets up with the scooper & add a little fresh litter on top. I also scoop out the parts that break down into dirt. Then after almost two weeks you can change the whole thing! (The directions explain that a bit)I ended up giving two of my kittens to my sister once they learned to do things on their own & I sent them with this litter which they are still continuing to use for them. They love it & have never used or seen litter like this! I know it’s just litter but this is amazing litter & I plan on keeping them with this kind of litter & this brand! ***If you have small kittens & they are potty training- go with this one! So worth it & brings some peace of mind knowing it’s all from nature.. UPDATE (a several months later) ** : Now that my kitties have gotten a lil older & they are definitely a lot bigger, I had to switch them over to the quick clumping litter. I absolutely love it for them! & they cover their business a lot better now too. Honestly was easy & perfect timing to switch from the pellets to the quick clumping. They do amazing with this kind. My sisters ended up switching to regular litter for the kitties I gave them after a while because they didn’t want to keep paying this much for this kind. And they thought it didn’t mask the smell that good but they’re probably realizing the regular kind they have now doesn’t do any better and it has more harsh stuff in it. I notice such a huge difference with their litter vs mine. Mine (which is this brand-quick clumping) masks the smell alot better!! And doesn’t track as much as theirs. I definitely suggest once your kitties get a little bigger to switch from pellet to quick clumping. The price is worth it for me, my fur babies deserve the best & this is it. It took alot for me to train my kitties when they were tiny to use the pellets but I had the time & I succeeded. It was an easy breezy beautiful transition to the quick clumping kind! HeheI can tell my cats love the way the quick clumping feels on their paws, they have never given me a problem w it at all. It is truly the best litter ever.UPDATE #2 FOR ALPINE MEADOW MULTIPLE:I decided to try this instead of using the un scented single cat one that I’ve been using for a while now since I have two cats and sometimes their litter will smell & kinda goes by fast. At first I didn’t like the smell very much but now I don’t mind it at all, it actually does mask the smell wayyy better than the quick clumping single cat one with no scent! I keep liking each one I switch to more & more! I will be using this one for as long as I need to now. I think we should get hooked up after buying a certain amount since I’ve bought so many bags now😂!! This one so far is definitely lasting better since it’s for more than one kitty & anything scented is better for me even though I will miss that earthy aroma. Although I said about the last two kind, I think this one is the best for sure! We’ve come along way!! Lol

Okay, so here's my litter story. When I got my 2 cats a year and a half ago, I used your typical clay clumping litter. It handled smell well, but I was going though SO much litter and was spending SO much money - not to mention the dust, tracking, and toxins in clay clumping litter. After a month, I knew I had to move on to something else!My next try was Yesterday's News, which I used for the majority of the time I've spent owning my cats. I was overall happy with this litter - much less expensive, didn't track at all, no dust (and it's made from recycled newspaper so it's natural), but the odor control was not great ( I still think everyone should try this litter, because I think it may work better for other people). Over time I realized I needed to change up my litter system, again.Next, I went to pine pellets I got from Tractor Supply Company and the Tidy Cat Breeze litter system (sifting). By far, the cheapest litter ever ($6 for 40 pounds - a bag lasted me 3 months with 2 cats). Pretty good control over tracking and non-toxic (yay!). Was pretty happy with this, but again, not great odor control - cleaning this twice a day my eyes would burn because of the ammonia. I was surprised by this because most people say it is great with odor control - not for me! I began to wonder if something was wrong with my cats' health because the smell was so bad. My partner is also allergic to pine, so hard to stick with this option. After the bag ran out, I again decided I needed to change my litter. Now, to the present. I decided to give this litter a try. I hesitated originally because of the price point (after spending $6 for a 3-month period, this is a big difference), but decided that if this helped with odor control, it would be worth it. Opening the bag, I immediately was happy with the smell, and after the cats first trip to the littler box, and consecutive trips after, I was pleasantly surprised - NO SMELL. And when I went to scoop at the end of the day - NO SMELL, NO BURINING EYES. FINALLY! My best description of this litter when scooping is that it's a little bit like damp sand at the beach - very easy to scoop, not a huge chore, and seems to have good absorption. This litter does track a little (it is clumping), but not to the point where I'm finding it throughout my house and in my bed like clay clumping litter. Anyway, I would much rather do a little extra vacuuming every time I clean the littler box then have my eyes burning. Also, not a lot of litter goes to waste every time I scoop like other clumping litters. I am hoping the bag lasts me a while so I'm not spending a fortune on litter, and will update once I get to that point! So far, I definitely recommend this litter!!

I have been using Blue Naturally Fresh for about six months now, and have been happy with the litter. The cats took to it right away.I had been using Tidy Cats and Tidy Cats Lightweight and the dust was horrible. I found the Tidy Cat dust coating every surface of the house, and could see the ultrafine particles hang in the air for hours after scooping. The red bag variant has the least dust. There is some dust, but the particles are larger than dust and settle very quickly compared to traditional litters. I haven't noticed the cats sneezing in or after using the litter box any more. No brown dust shows on my rag when dusting through the rest of the house. My computer fan intake no longer seems to accumulate anything but ordinary lint-type household dust. Using the lightweight litter, I could see a distinct dust pattern on the intake fans within a couple hours of dusting and vacuuming the intakes. If you follow the manufacturer's instructions for scooping, and gently shake the box back and forth to get the dry litter to circulate to the top after scooping instead of stirring with the scoop, the dust is minimal and confined to the immediate vicinity of the box.The walnut smell is pleasant and natural. I have two cats and scoop twice a day. The litter has provided good odor control for the entire 30 day period the manufacturer recommends between litter changes. The litter tracks about the same as other litters, but does not seem to plug the vaccum filter when vacuuming. I have saved a lot of money on HEPA filter replacements for the vacuum since switching. I had to replace all the filters on my vacuum twice a month ($40/mo) when I used the Tidy Cats Lightweight, about every 6 weeks ($13/mo) with Tidy Cats Clumping. Now I'm changing it every 90 days ($6.70/mo) not because the suction is gone or the filters are clogged, but because that is the recommended change interval. Based on my experience the last 6 months, I expect to save about $400/year on vacuum filters compared to when I used the Tidy Cat Lightweight, which more than offsets the slightly higher cost of the litter.
