I really like this hydration belt. It is very well made, and lives up to the name. I like that the belt has stretched throughout for customizable fit and flexibility. The water bottle cages are well fitted, and I can easily grab the bottles out of the cages and reinsert. However, when I reinsert the bottles into the cages, it tends to push the belt down, which is very inconvenient, distracting, and worrying. I don’t feel confident that if I was out an all out run that the belt would not slide down on its own. I tried tightening the belt, which is easy to do, but there was still some slippage when reinserting the bottles into the cages while wearing the belt. This belt is very minimalistic and lightweight but durable. It works well for caring a little water on a short run or hike or walk, just be sure to send it as tightly as you can while making sure it’s still comfortable. The water bottles work really well, I had no problem with leakages even when I squeeze the bottles really hard. Of course I make sure the lid is closed tightly and the nozzle is closed tightly before squeezing. Overall, I think this is a great belt, even with the slipping I think it’s manageable. I would just prefer that it did not slip. Maybe that is the cost of having so much flexibility in the belt.

For only $38 I think this is a great value. I bought it for hiking. It lets you carry just enough water that you can go on those medium range hikes where you could probably make it without water but it wouldn't be very comfortable. At the same time you're not carrying much weight so you can move quickly and not have sore shoulders because of wearing a backpack. This is great for somebody like me that has shoulder and neck pain, keeping weight off those areas is a game changer for me.To all the people saying they can't get the water out of the bottle, I think they are probably just using them wrong, or have unrealistic expectations. When I first tried them I tried sucking the water out like many similar sports bottles allow...and that is intuitive since the caps are soft rubber and larger like they're meant to put your mouth around...well, that doesn't work with these, they're too rigid to be able to suck the water out effectively. They need to be rigid so they can be stuffed back into the holsters quickly while you're on the run. The trick is to tilt the bottle up and squeeze the water out into your mouth. Know that it won't come out very fast, which is actually a good thing when you're running or moving fast, so you don't accidentally drink too fast and get a stomach ache. The pouch is just big enough to hold a normal size cell phone and maybe a few smaller items like gel packs, a small flashlight, etc. The belt is easy to adjust while you're in motion and holds firmly where you set it.

Nathan products are built to last. This replaces my previous Nathan belt that I have had for over 5 years in the Florida heat and sun through hundreds of runs. It is just now showing signs of a need for replacement. I am sure hoping this one will hold up just as long. The biggest differences I see are the bottle holder design, elastic belt, and the inside pocket doesn't have a closure. That little closure is actually important if a key is to be stored without risk of falling out while running when the bag is open. I may have to add some Velcro. As far as the bottle holder design, it is tougher to get the bottles in. I am hoping that will change with use. The bottles themselves are okay but are not the speeddraw that I am used to. Luckily my bottles are still good so I will use those. Otherwise, this is a lightweight, functional bag that will hold all you need for a long run. Maybe more than you need! The elastic belt is a definite upgrade and more comfortable!

Great belt for long runs. It stays firmly planted without digging in and chafing. The bottles have a decent volume capacity, they stay secured during the run, and they are easy to retrieve when you need them. The pouch is large enough to carry a phone and some keys. My only complaint is that the mouthpiece of the bottles is very large. It's somewhat difficult to get liquid out of it honestly. You can squeeze the bottles but even then I feel like the bottles are difficult to draw from. I found myself having to suck the liquid out, which takes your breath away during a hard run. I really like this belt but I may try to find some replacement valves for the bottles.

Water bottles leak and are difficult to open to drink water from.
