This table satisfied what I needed it for. It is a very sturdy, very light-weight C table that has so much utility, I didn't know why I didn't buy it sooner.Be warned, as another reviewer said, the tabletop is completely untreated wood. Fortunately, I had a full can of Varathane Spray Triple Thick Polyurethane Clear Gloss and went to town on the wooden top. Each time I sprayed the top, I made sure pools of the polyurethane formed, then let the wood absorb the liquid and allowed several hours (4 hours per coating) for the liquid to evaporate. Since the wood is untreated and it isn't exactly the best type of wood, its rough surface would show at several spots after the liquid has evaporated. Every subsequent coating session, I would focus on pooling the polyurethane spray on the rougher surfaces but would also recoat the glossier sections to make sure the final coats look evened out and leveled. I went through the entire 11 ounce can and must have gone over the table with around 5 to 7 coating sessions. MAKE SURE TO GIVE THE TABLE AT LEAST 20 TO 30 DAYS TO CURE!!!The pictures show the results of the coating after 20 days of being untouched.

I read the reviews on this and they were not at all correct. This little table is absolutely perfect for the couch. It was so easy to assemble that I didn't even look at the instructions. It even comes with four tiny little sticker pads for the leg bars so it won't scratch your hardwood floor. It tucks perfectly up to the couch. And the wood top itself looks and feels as if it will absorb drink rings but it doesn't. I just love it. Very elegant.

Cons: The wood is unfinished so if you put anything on top of the wood it will soak in. For $60 dollars that seems a little crazy. My son suggested we wrap it in plastic or some kind of topper, but to me that seems ridiculous to spend the money just to cover the top so the wood stays good? I'll be returning the item and find something new.Pro - Its very lightweight, nice frame, put together nicely, the screws seemed fine, was packaged very nice. Size is perfect.PS - My son just found a similar item for $35 with a waterproof top - wood is a little darker, but I am ok with that.

4 stars for easy to assemble due to the screws it came with being too short. Luckily I had others on hand. The guides on the wood didn't align with the metal so I removed them as well. Overall, sturdy table for food and beverages like I wanted. I used a clear spray sealant before assembling as I wanted to use this outside. Good value for price.
