I have quite a few effects pedals and tend to keep them for swapping around on my pedal board. I'd never considered of a guitar pedal "care kit", but I was intrigued. This pedal kit includes a lot of gadgetry, but most items have a legitimate purpose.WHAT YOU GETThis pedal care kit includes: a plastic multi-sided hex wrench, a magnetized screwdriver extension, 6 screwdriver bits (2 Phillips head, one flat head, and 3 hex), bottle of pedal detailer spray, a tube of contact cleaner, bristle brush for cleaning jacks, and a microfiber cloth. The kit is contained in a zippered 6 1/2" x 4" case with bands and a mesh pocket to hold all the components in place.USEFULNESSI own about 30 pedals and while I've dusted them off occasionally, I've never paid much attention to them unless there are issues that require me to look at the components (extremely rare). For the most part, this kit has useful tools, especially the magnetized extension and bits that accommodate the small screws that are commonly used on stomp boxes. I found the hex wrench/screwdriver base pretty ingenious and useful.I've never thought about cleaning the jacks on the side of the boxes and don't know how necessary or common this practice is for the casual player (like me). But, I can see how gigging in hot, enclosed spaces can probably result in moisture affecting the contacts and warranting an occasional cleaning. The bristle brush for cleaning the jacks is nicely designed and provides a nice assured gripping surface. The pedal detailing spray designed to "restore original finish" is somewhat humorous as pedals are designed to be stomped.Overall, I like that the kit seems to factor the items needed for most pedals and that it's all contained in an organized zippered case that doesn't take up much space. I have a decent variety of pedal brands and would say this this kit can be used on all of them to some degree.

Really handy kit for keeping pedals and guitar jacks working and sounding great. It makes it easy to scrub oxidation out of jacks and make better connections and cleaner sound throughout the signal chain. Plus the tools in the kit make it easier to fix pedals when they start acting up.

This guitar pedal care kit works fine, but it's spendy for what you get. It comes in a nice zipper case to hold the cleaning items. In the kit you get a very handy multi tool/screwdriver thing, a jack cleaning brush, a bottle of pedal detailer spray, a tube of Jackpot DeOxit contact cleaner and a cleaning cloth. The best part of this kit is the multi tool that can be used as a screwdriver and nut driver. It includes 6 bits for hex, philips and flat head screws. The contact cleaner and brush could come in handy. Over 50 years of playing guitar and using pedals I've never needed to clean the jacks on my pedals although I've seen some others that probably could use it so I'm prepared if the need arises. The label on the pedal detail spray says it not only cleans but it smells great. It does have a tropical pineapple daquiri sort of smell so you're pedals will have a pleasing scent as well as a nice shine. Having all this in a compact kit you can toss in a gig bag is cool, although for years I've gotten by using whatever tools and cleaners I had on hand. If you don't have that sort of stuff around the house then this could be for you!

At first I thought this pedal cleaning kit was a little goofy, but then I discovered it was not just for cleaning pedals, it was for fixing them as well, and that made all the difference. It doesn't happen often, but guitar pedals pots and jacks can get dirty or come loose, and then you get scratchy audio when you use them. This little kit actually provides tools for tightening and adjusting the knobs and jacks, and they even give you a brush and De-oxit to get inside and clean the pots and jacks a little, which actually has proven helpful. I have some very old pedals that were not functioning as they used to, and just about 5 minutes with this kit has my old pedals working just like new again. Very cool, and worth every penny. If you use guitar pedals as a guitar player, then this is a very useful kit for keeping them working well.

Nice idea for keeping your equipment clean and all in a convenient and well thought out package. The star of the show for me though is the multi-functional hand tool they've concocted here. As someone who not just uses pedals but builds them as a hobby, having one little tool that can basically account for all the different bits and sockets I might need for assembly and finishing is pretty great. You may run into issues if some of your plugs or pots are especially close together but even on the 125B enclosures I have where there's a power plug and two 1/4" plugs relatively close, I didn't have a problem using the socket tool on them. Love it. All the rest of the stuff included is just a bonus but contract cleaner and a jack cleaning brush are definitely good to have on hand.Good gift for any guitarist though, even if they aren't a pedal addict.
