Found an old video on youtube of this guy that repaired acoustic guitars and he recommended buying this product. It's great! A little goes a long way. It got my old Yamaha looking brand new. This should be in every acoustic guitar player's kit!

I'm a Fender Certified Tech. This is the only oil I'll use. It has saved 15 guitars from the woodpile with neck issues. I found that after several weeks, anomalies like different neck bowing across the neck correct themselves. Makes no sense but it works. I refuse to use other oil, even if it is given to me free of charge. Best oil I've ever used. I hope to heaven that they never change the formula. All of my customers use it. It also cleans the fretboard. Pull the strings back from the neck, place a couple of drops of it on each fret. Use your finger to smooth it around. Let the neck soak in what it will, adding more if necessary. When the neck has taken what it will, use a stiff paper towell, like the blue ones for windows at the gas station, to wipe off the excess oil and whallah, neck is cleaned and conditioned. Use on unfinished necks. The varnish and laquor doesn't need this. Put the strings back and tune up. Play like you want. Do this every 6 weeks to 2 months or whenever the neck seems to be drying out. Helps prevent fret sprouting if you do it soon enough. Won't correct fret sprouting. Only a file will correct fret sprouting. Get some and do yourself and your axe a favor. It will reward you for it. Several of my and customer necks already have rewarded us.

After reading about the heavy petroleum based ingredients in neck oils for guitar fretboards I did a bit of research and found this. I had never heard of this product before, but since then found they produce a number of guitar cleaning products. The oil does not lie heavy or gloopy on the fretboard. It sinks into the wood pretty quickly. Give it 5 minutes then wipe it off thoroughly. The guitar neck feels fresh and vibrant. Bottle (and their website) says contents are based on oils from seeds and plant material, so better on the fingers and more natural for the wood. I can't dent that the fretboards feel really good after applying this oil. Use it after each string change and the necks feel great. I bought a secondhand guitar which had a very dry fretboard, which had dry shrunk, it took three applications on and off of this oil and now the fretboard is like new (see the picture). Superb product, the big bottle will last you for years and no nasty chemicals. Highly recommended.
