I was hoping this was the sphagum moss that was simply compressed. This WAS NOT the long, stringy, preserved moss that is used for decorative floral displays and orchids. This compressed moss didn't have ANY long pieces. Once wet, I recognized that none of the moss pieces were longer than a quarter inch. It resembled cut grass clippings that should be trash. Perhaps some people have a use for tiny clippings, but I felt bamboozled. Hopefully no one else makes the same mistake

I put a rock on the flower pot and it didn't look good, but it looks good now. The flower pot outside was also dug up by a squirrel, but it looks good now and the squirrel can't touch it.
