This is the second time I am buying this paint pan. I decided to grab this product again during the sale. Great price! I make greating cards and find these paints work perfectly for that purpose. They blend well and I can create any colors under the sun!

While arguably these might not be classed as professional quality due to some of the pigments not being lightfast (i.e. may fade over time), there's no denying these are some quality paints.I own alot of professional quality paints including Daniel Smith, Holbein, and Winsor and Newton. I also own some student quality paints such as Van Gogh and Winsor and Newton Cotman. This Mungyo palette I would class among the cream of the crop when it comes to student quality paints, with many markers of professional quality paint, such as:Transparency and overall clarity. These paints are vibrant and clear. When changing my brush rinse water after swatching each colour group (reds, greens, blues, etc) the water in my rinsing jar was a clear jewel tone of each colour group. The same vibrancy and transparency was also visible on the paper.Very pigmented. These paints re-wet instantly once a wet brush is applied. I did not need to mist the pans first and wait for the paints to wake up. And one swipe of the brush alone picks up intense colour, which makes light work of mixing pools of paint ahead of time. These colours lay down smoothly on the paper without streaking, and without the need to make multiple brush strokes.I can't really fault these paints in anyway, especially at such an affordable price. These will make an excellent set of paints to practice and experiment with if you're a professional artist, and save you having to use your expensive professional paints.Highly recommend.

I didn't know that I was possible for paints to be this highly pigmented until I used these. The first time I put these paints to paper I was speechless. I have been using Van Gogh, White nights and Reeves water colour paints, which are all well known brands, but they just did not compare to these when it came to vibrancy and colour pay off.I must admit however that I do love bright colours and paint still life etc which requires colour. Not sure how useful these vibrant paints will be to landscape artists.Still, I will never stop recommending these paints to other water colour artists. My water colour painting has become even more of a pleasurable hobby than it already was and I'm really thankful to Mungyo for these lovely, more than professional quality and yet quite affordable paints and a huge thank you to Amazon for making these paints available here in India. My only regret is that I didn't go ahead and purchase the box of 46 instead.I also have mungyos artist gallery oil pastels and those are wonderful as well.Tip : save the wrapping of the individual pans like I have done as they serve as a good colour reference. The name and number on the wrapper can be matched to the number which is printed on the side of each pan.

When I set out to trial watercolour sets, I had a pretty set criteria of things I was looking for. I wanted a set you could get in your hot little (Australian) hands in a relatively short time period, that was inexpensive, and would help budding watercolour artists succeed in painting, rather than battling poor quality paints. Bonus points if I could get it with 24 colours under $50AUD.Guys, this one does. It. All.I ordered the Mungyo Professional 24 Half Pan set from Amazon, and I had it open on my desk in less than a week. The half pans are housed in a lovely metal tin, and can easily be switched out when empty (or for other colors of your preference). There is also a extendable mixing palette which flips out. The paints come individually wrapped with paint information on each pan.The range of colours in the 24 pan set is decent. A few inclusions are odd (Naples yellow? OK….), the is there is the ever present (and still just as useless) white, and I’m mildly perplexed by the lack of ultramarine. But on the whole, there are a great selection to choose from and there are a good range of pinks and a decent violet. I keep banging on about these because they’re so crucial to making really vibrant multicolour pieces. These paints really came into their own when I started swatching. Mungyo is a korean brand, the same as my go-to Mijello Mission Gold. I could hardly tell the difference between these, and my considerably more expensive paints. They’re so vibrant and pigmented, they re-wet perfectly and there is not a scrap of chalkiness to them! They mix and flow beautifully with water. The only downside to these paints I can see is that they maaayyybe are a tad muddier than my Mission Gold paints in my heart painting test (on my standard Art Spectrum 60% cotton 300GSM paper). But honestly, look at this thing. It’s so bright. The colours are so clear. THESE ARE $50 PAINTS!! AND THEY COME WITH A METAL PALETTE!!Um. I like these. Can you tell?Pros:Brilliantly pigmented and not chalkyGreat value for moneyReally decent paletteHonestly, these are low-end Artist qualityCons:Not available in stores, though shipping was fastLots of blended pigment colours, so slightly muddier when mixedAre these 100% perfect? No. there are a few odd colour inclusions and some colour exclusions that make me scratch my head. Are these absolutely brilliant for the price? Yup. A solid beginner set that will make you pleased as punch and keen to crack them out at any opportunity.
