The faucet was easy to install, but did need a Moen stem extension kit since the faucet that I was replacing was 24 years old. Looks great on our Roman tub. The faucet that was being replaced worked fine, but it was chrome and brass we wanted to change to brushed nickel. Would recommend.

Can't say how much my family loves this faucet compared to the one I replaced.I thought Moen fixtures were all pretty cheap, but that's just the ones at the big box stores. These are SOLID!You have to purchase the rough in kit to install this properly so you need plumber's soldering skills. Also, you have to have some skill in setting it up so that it will work. You need some experience doing plumbing installs. So I'm comfortable suggesting this is a good order if it suits your personal taste. It is a quality product, worth even having a pro install it for you.

Looks very nice and fit perfectly. Moen sent me their Roman Tub Valve compatibility PDF file and it stated that the spout shank must NOT be less than 1 3/8". The shank on my mid-1990's valve was only 1 1/8", and the PDF stated NO current Moen trim kits would work and I would have to replace the valve. Unfortunately to do this I would have had to hire a tile contractor to tear out all the tile work that was done in front of the tub to get access to the valve. That expense would be huge to tear it out, install a new valve, and redo the tile. So I decided to order this trim kit just to see if it would work. When I got it I dry fit it on the shank and the shank extended past the rubber gasket inside the spout so I knew it would work. I installed the shank laying down a bead of clear water-proof silicone and there was no leaking. I ordered the Moen stem replacement kit ($11 on Amazon) and replaced the stems so that the handles would fit. Now the trim kit looks fabulous on the tub and I didn't have to pay a huge expense for a new valve and tile work. Guess it goes without saying don't believe what you read!!

I have a roman tub that didn't have an access panel (unless the plumber drilled through the crawl space up into the tub...) Well, here is the best thing around for that type of problem. It's a "trim kit". It's simply the handles and the faucet -- no plumbing required. Now I know you may think this is a little expensive for just handles and a faucet -- but I called Moen directly, and it was selling for the $350 price. I needed the nickle finish to go with all of the other faucets I had a plumber install. This is perfect. My husband had to do a little cutting to get the valves to line up -- but that was it. After a half hour to do it all. He called Moen first and they told him what to do. So, after all said and done, we did it without the help (cost) of a plumber, and the look is just terrific. Now, there is no hot and cold marks on the handles. So glad we bought this!! Now my neighbors want to do the same thing.
