They work great at organizing my tools and supplies for my handy man business. They just need to be a little more heavy duty for the price. You can't lay anything o. Top the covers because they are hinged and two pieces. This causes them to collapse inward when laying anything on it.

I got this because I wanted a one piece crate that included an attached lid to put in the back of my truck for animal rescues. (I picked up a kitten off the road recently that had been hit by a car and had no container to put him in while searching for his owner.) So this seemed perfect. But, in all reality, you can't open it up and secure the sides, get an animal in and then close the top quickly. I spent 5 minutes trying to assemble it without an injured, angry animal in the other hand. It seems like an okay crate once it's assembled, but I bought it for the collapsible feature, not so I'd have to carry around a fully assembled crate. The lid locks closed, which is nice, but it has an interlacing feature that holds the two sides together that I find very cumbersome. I'm sure it's to make the lid sturdier, but it's difficult at best. The plastic sides are very thin, and frankly I thought it was going to break when I was trying to collapse it back down, but it didn't. For the money, I just expected something that would snap open and closed easily and be extremely sturdy, and this isn't it. Granted, my purposes are not the intention of this unit, but that doesn't make it any easier to assemble, whether you're in a hurry or not.

Useful that it’s clear (so you can see what’s inside), and that it’s collapsible, but the latter seems to make it slightly less strong and sturdy than it could be

The unit is large enough to carry / store various items I transport from time to time. When not needed it colapses into a small enough package to not take up excessive room. The unit meets the advertised description. No, it is not as strong as non-colapsable cases, but that is the nature of the beast. Easily handles my needs. Good product.

I got this for storing dishes and cookware that I wasn't using. It ships already flattened and you can pop it open very easily and while it does flex a little bit when I loaded it up with lots of stuff (and was worried it would break) it held together when I moved it into storage.
