The way it joints the skull is perfect unfortunately the skull has fallen off twice due to losing tension.

Hung it in my log home and everything was tight and perfect.I was given a skull and had an artist hand bead it to hang on the mount.A couple of weeks go by, and I heard a large crash, the ball part and the piece that the skull rested in, fell. Broke the skull and items sitting below it on an antique table. So bloody mad, the beautiful skull I had beaded is sadly broken at the nose section.I’d suggest looking for a different hanger, unless you want your pice to fall off and break!!

Every time you would tighten the Set screws properly I would wake up in the middle of the night and found my beautiful Euro amount on the floor with a broken nose. I thought maybe it was my fault so I would order another one same thing happened. Definitely not my fault.

First set had isssues set screws missing

Awful product. Nowhere near strong enough even for medium dear skull. Description mentions bears and lions. The ball joint just drops downward with any weight and skull falls on floor. Do NOT BUY
