Shame on Motorola for creating a product with the exact same name, looks, and physical hardware as the PIP1510 series and then arbitrarily making it "not compatible" with a PIP Connect Monitor. To buy an extra camera for the 1510, they want $110 for a single camera. It's literally the exact same hardware. Amazon needs to update it's AI Rufus information, it's giving inaccurate info saying that they're compatible.

I went cheap and got an off brand monitor which ended up breaking within the 1st year of my daughter's life. It worked for what we needed, but I ended up caving and spent a little more money on this because a family member recommended it and I'm bummed I didn't just get this to start. Great quality photo. Bought a second camera for our 2nd on the way which can be added to this monitor!

First of all, these little boxes are more beautiful than I expected. They are such an efficient way to carry small items in my purse, like Tums, the days dose of vitamins, glasses cleaners, jewelry, etc. also, I will use them to contain money gifts for my grandchildren.

Typically I don't go for WiFi monitors but wanted to give this one a try, because our regular one has poor range and battery life. The first one we got had some issues, the night vision wasn't working properly so I returned it and got a replacement which worked fine. Here are a few insights I suppose after using it for a month:1. The temperature sensor seems to be a bit off...our other monitor seems to be more accurate. Ours reads a bit cooler than the actual room temp, maybe by 2 degrees or so, sometimes even more.2. The image quality is good, but that can depend on your phone's connection as well - poor connection/image might be not as sharp, etc.3. Panning works seamlessly/quite well, and has good range of motion.4. The application is...not the best. If you have it open on your screen the entire time, it stays connected and sound works continually. There is an option to have it running in the background (so you can use other apps on your phone, and still be able to hear sound) but that doesn't work well for me. It frequently disconnects from the sound, and I have to go back into the app where the camera tries to reconnect and it can take a minute or so before it actually does that.5. I did briefly try the storytelling and music, which is a nice feature, especially the stories which I haven't seen before on any other monitors. My little one doesn't really care for it as she has a nightlight that plays music she prefers. You can also do a personal recording, which is a nice touch.6. It has a journal where you can log activities, feeding, changing, etc. That's especially helpful for a new parent because I had used an entirely separate app for that. I like how this one is built in, would have been really useful for me back then.

I already had the PIP 1510 Connect Camera and monitor combo. The Motorola monitor can connect with up to 4 Motorola cameras. I saw this product, which has “PIP” and “Connect” in the model number (see red circle in photo). In addition, the camera that came with the monitor looks EXACTLY identical to this product. So, I bought it, only to discover that this product is only compatible with the Motorola nursery app. In other words, you can only use this with a phone. This product is NOT compatible with Motorola PIP connect handheld monitors. I only ordered this because I wanted both my cameras on the same monitor. On the plus side, this does connect to the Motorola phone app, so now both my baby cameras are on the same phone app. That’s about it for the plus side. The phone app has a lag. It’s only 2 seconds on the monitor, but on the phone it can be much longer. This product, used with the Motorola phone app, does not work in real time. That’s when it works. It also takes forever to load. By the time the phone app loads, you could have walked over to the nursery and resolved whatever the problem was and come back and fallen back asleep. I do not like the Motorola phone app. This is a great camera. But to realize the full potential of the camera you need to use it with a handled monitor, not the phone app. Unfortunately, this product is only compatible with the phone app. Here are some additional notes I took from setting up the Motorola app to work with this camera:1. The Motorola Nursery app registered with my home network as a “security risk” and was automatically blocked from accessing the internet. I had to add it as a policy exception to get it to work.2. The camera comes with a bracket for wall mounting, and a second base to use as a stand. If you’re going to connect the camera to the internet, you need to do this BEFORE you mount it to the wall. The reason is that the camera MUST be no more than a few feet from a router in order to pair for initial setup. Otherwise, the connection will fail. You can move it after its paired.3. The product does not come with MAC address visibly saved anywhere on the camera, or any way to find it in the monitor setup or settings. That means, if you monitor traffic with MAC filtering you will need to disable MAC filtering, connect the camera to discover the MAC address, name the camera, and then reenable MAC filtering again.4. The camera cannot see straight down. If it is mounted on the wall directly above your crib, there will be a 2- or 3-foot blind spot under the camera
