There were two different diameters of axle pivot bolts and bushings used on the 2003 E150s at the factory (and maybe on other years and models with the twin I-beam suspension as well). Why, who knows? Mine has the narrower bolts but they were matched at the factory with the wider axle pivot bushing, so there was free play between the narrow bolt and wide bushing. I ordered both size bushings because I didn't know which diameter the bolts were until I took it apart. When replacing the bushings, I used the narrower diameter bushing to match the narrow bolt diameter in order to eliminate the free play, and it helped reduce wandering on the highway. Then I returned the two wider diameter bushings that I didn't use. It's been driven 10,000 miles since installation and the bushings are doing fine.
