Based on other manufacturer’s products, where the mud cover covers all important parts including the manifold stops, and for additional protection can be bolted down to valve assembly when doing concrete and tile work, Moen’s valve mud cover has a design flaw. The manual clearly indicates the mud cover covers the manifold stops but does not.

Easy to light, puts out even heat, just really works well! Very satisfied & saves money because our oil furnace does not kick on as much therefore saving kerosene.

Had my plumber install using the included instructions. Well made, should last a lifetime. Includes leveling screws so the tub fill can be installed perfectly plumb.

bought this for my 20 x 20 garage that is used as a wookshop. We make doors, cabinets, other assemblies for our customers.I have an insulated garage door, but everything else leaks[no insulation over garage]. on cold days, below 65, it works great. Start it in high, and after about 20 or 30 minutes it will take it to 65 from 55. Then we put it on low, and it keeps the temperature enough to do work, and apply finishes. On low, a 20 lb. tank will give us 3 or 4 workdays. [usually a little longer than 8 hrs]We've only used it in the garage , not any inside area.P.S. - i haven't had any issues some others have had. Always easy to start and run. I've used at least 4 tanks this past Winter, and just brought it back to the shop to use again. Put in a new tank, took 20 seconds to light pilot, started right up like new. No problem with thermocouple, but you can get replacement parts at home depot and Lowes, ace hardware.

I got this heater because I often work on projects in my garage. Cold temperatures in winter sometimes make that not just uncomfortable, but impossible. I am not a person who has worked a lot with propane heaters and such. I have only once had to change the propane tank on my pop-up trailer, and that was sometime last year. So I took the tank off the trailer and hooked it up to this unit.WORD OF WARNING: I found that the plastic knob on the hose in the heater does NOT provide enough torque to sufficiently tighten the compression fitting. I tried several times to tighten it by hand, and every time it leaked gas when I checked the connection using a mixture of soap and water. However, as soon as I used a wrench and pulled it tight? No leaks, no problem. I left the valve open for 5 minutes, smelled near the floor and everything - no gas leaks. So I fired it up inside our breezeway, an enclosed, 3-season room that is about 16ft x 16ft. The initial smell of the unit was obvious, as it was basically outgassing the remaining volatile compounds from the paint. But aside from the that, it was very easy to use. Push the knob, turn to pilot, push the button, second try and the pilot light lit up. I waited a few seconds, turned it to low, and "Voila!" - the center section heated up.I turned it to high, just to see how much heat it would throw off. Now, mind you, I did this on a day when the temperature was 15F. Well, within 20 minutes, I could barely see any of my breath anymore, and within 30 minutes, my daughter came out and said, "Wow... it's warm out here!" And it was warm - probably 55F at that point ,I'd guess. Not bad for a 250 square foot space that is 12 feet tall. i'm definitely looking forward to using this in my garage.ONE OTHER THING: When I went to put the tank in the back of the heater, the instructions say to place the hose towards the front/left of the unit, while avoiding the hose touching the heat shield. I understand why the hose should not be sticking out the back - to avoid being cut or potential abrasions. But getting the hose to fit in the front/left without touching the heat shield was a challenge. Not impossible, but I felt like I was bending it in a pretty tight space.TL;DR - Nice unit, heats up a medium/large room in about 30 to 45 minutes. Just be sure to tighten the fitting to the tank with a wrench, as hand tightening is insufficient to avoid leaks.
