WeWorryAboutYourHEALTH。ここでいう健康(=Health)というのは、身体的ではなく精神的な健康であろう。様々な状態下での精神の崩壊や崩壊寸前の状態について歌い上げている。そんな重苦しいテーマでありながらも、ビートは結構ノリノリ。グランジーに淀んだエレキギターがアクセントになっている(これが面白い)。SoundCloudやBandcampから台頭している、いわゆるDIY系アーティストたちの、ノスタルジーに自分たちの味わいや解釈を加えた歌手たちが好きだ。その中でも、Nilufer Yanyaの本作は特にバラエティーに富んでおり、楽しい。購入した一週間で5回ほど通して聞いたが、一向に飽きが来ない。これでメジャーデビューなのだから驚いたものだ。favorite track: 3. Paralysed, 12. Safety Net, 13.Tears以下は閑話です、わざわざWWAYHealthのホームページまで作成するという、世界観の徹底ぶりを図っている。登録してみたが、迷惑メールに分類されたのか、既に機能していないのか。今の所、受信ボックスに返信はない。本作はYouTubeですべて無料公開されているので、興味があれば是非。ちなみに、インディー系のアーティスト達がYouTubeなどで自分たちの音楽を無償公開するのを散見するが、彼らがどのように収入を得ているのか不思議になる(YouTube上の利益獲得方法である広告もついていない。)インディーやサブカルの愛好家は気に入った歌手のVinylやCDを購入する傾向が一般消費者より強いから、アルバムすべてを無償公開するほうが結果的に売上が伸びるという算段だろうか。それとも、売上至上主義者とは異なり、多くの視聴者に自分が作成した音楽を届けることを優先しているのか。そうであれば素敵だ。

I'm not even sure what to call this music. There are elements of most 21st century pop/rock here and it works. Something of a recurring theme around 21st century "emotional technology" and even those interludes work. Excellent voice and more than willing to rip it on guitar when things are in danger of getting a bit too laid back.
