Only had it a few weeks. Good range of vision and picture quality. Instructions were easy to follow. It took a couple attempts to get WiFi working both having the app on my phone is great.Great tech support by text when I repositioned the camera and got the cables mixed up.

Intro: I needed a reliable dash cam for my daily drives, so I grabbed the Miofive 4K+2K Dual Dash Camera. Its promise of high-res footage and a compact build caught my eye for keeping tabs on the road ahead and behind.Likes: I like the overall form factor of this camera—it’s slim and tucks nicely behind my rearview mirror without cluttering the view. Quality is good too; the 4K front and 2K rear cameras capture crisp details, day or night, thanks to night vision and HDR. Built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS make it a breeze to pull footage via the app, and the 32GB card (upgradable to 512GB) gets you started. The 24-hour parking mode’s a bonus for peace of mind.Shortcomings: The app can lag when downloading big 4K files, and the rear camera cable’s a bit short for larger vehicles—had to stretch it to fit.Summary: This dash cam’s a solid pick for clear video and a low-profile look. It’s got the tech and quality to back up its sleek design—great value for the road.Rating: 4/5 – A smoother app would push it to 5.

Will not connect to Bluetooth, would not format the SD card, kept shutting down. Bad product, forced to return it to Amazon the same day that I received it.

The Miofive Dash Cam Front and Rear (4K+2K) is a serious upgrade from my old 1080p front-facing dash cam. The front camera is sharp, and while the rear camera isn’t quite as crisp, 2K still does the job if something happens behind you. Positioning the back camera was kind of a hassle—I ended up mounting mine near the interior light on the ceiling of my car, but getting the right angle to cover the rear window took some trial and error. Also, just a heads-up—mount the front camera on the glass of your windshield, not on the dash itself, or your footage will be upside down. I had to fix mine after realizing that.I’m using a cigarette lighter to USB adapter (with a portable battery) since my cigarette lighter is broken, and it works completely fine. If anything, it’s actually better because it keeps the dash cam from pulling too much power from the car battery. Compared to my old single-camera dash cam, this one definitely takes more power, which makes sense since it’s running two cameras and has an actual screen. The AI features are surprisingly useful. If you’re at a stoplight and not paying attention, it’ll remind you to move when the car in front of you starts going. It also actively tracks vehicles, putting boxes around them as you drive. One time, I parked for a second, and it automatically locked onto a UPS truck in front of me. It’s got a lot of these little smart features that you don’t really think about until you see them in action. Before using it, you need to go into the settings and format the memory card. If you don’t, it won’t save anything. It comes with a 32GB card, which is better than nothing, but I swapped it out for a 512GB Amazon Basics SD card, since that’s the max this dash cam supports. I don’t want to worry about running out of storage, so I figured I’d just get the biggest one possible. It also has loop recording, so if the card fills up, it automatically deletes the oldest footage to make room for new recordings. Personally, I like going in and deleting files myself, but it’s a useful feature to have. The adhesive for the front camera is great—no issues there. The back camera, though, could be better. It doesn’t come with an extra adhesive pad like the front one, so I had to use some duct tape just to make sure it stays put. If I ever get rear-ended, I don’t want it falling off before it catches the incident. I’ll probably look into getting better adhesive for it later.Setting up the mobile app was easy. You just scan the QR code in the manual, download the app, and connect your phone to the dash cam’s Wi-Fi. The first time you do this, it’ll prompt a firmware update, which took about two to three minutes. Once it’s all set up, I noticed that when I power it up, the dash cam screen turns on for a few seconds, then shuts off to save power, but it keeps recording. It even gives you a quick reminder that it’s still on.With the current discount, it's about $110 after tax and shipping, which is honestly a great deal. The amount of reckless driving and insurance scams out there makes a dash cam basically a necessity at this point. I’d bet at least 85 percent of people still don’t have one, which is insane when video evidence is the only thing that actually holds up. I drive in major cities like LA, where accidents and fraud are way too common, so this was a necessary upgrade for me.At the end of the day, this dash cam is just one of those things that you hope you never actually need, but when you do, you’ll be glad you have it. Driving is a gamble, and if something happens, the footage doesn’t lie. Whether it’s some reckless driver, a hit-and-run, or an insurance scammer trying to pull a stunt, you’ll have the proof you need. I’ve used cheaper dash cams before, and this one is in a completely different league. Between the sharp footage, the smart AI features, and the reliability, it’s the kind of thing you buy once and don’t have to think about again. If you’re on the fence, just get it—you’ll wish you had it when you actually need it.

I ordered this months ago and have been forgetting to write a review, but a few weeks ago it came in really handy.I was stopped at a red light, and I was the first car stopped at the intersection when my car was hit from behind. It wasn't a hard bump, so when the light turned green, I drove through and pulled off to the shoulder. The car that struck me pulled in behind me and we started exchanging information. The other driver said that a car struck her from behind which pushed her car into mine, but the driver who hit her pulled away. My car got some minor damage, just a dent in the liftgate and some scuffed paint, but still wanted it fixed. Fortunately, the car that struck me didn't seem to receive any damage at all where it hit me because all of the impact was from her license plate and nobody was hurt. There was some damage to her rear where the other car struck her.I remembered that I had a dash cam running, so we looked at the recorded footage. It was clear that she was stopped behind me with plenty of room between us, then you could see her car lurch forward and bump into mine. The rear camera caught the other car, and when it pulled by us to keep going, the front camera caught his license plate.I normally wouldn't call the police for such a minor fender bender, but since this was a hit-and-run, we called them. When the officer showed up, we showed him the footage and he took down all of the information. When we made the insurance claim, they asked to see the footage, too. Based on the footage, her insurance company said that since it was a hit-and-run and that she was a safe distance from me before her car was pushed into mine, they considered it no fault on her part. They were also able to determine the insurance carrier for the person who hit her and their insurance company was going to pay to repair both of our vehicles. This camera was able to help another driver, not just me.Of course, this would probably have happened with any other dashcam, so it's not like this one was better than any other one, but it's still quite a good camera considering the price.I used an installation kit to hook this up. I didn't use the one recommended, but a generic one that works just the same. The installation was easy enough and everything looks neat and clean. The camera quality is outstanding in both night and day.Everyone in our family have dashcams for situations just like what I described above, and this one is nicer than some of the others even though it cost less. This camera is just about perfect.
