Brightness is kinda low, but for the price I would say it's enough

There is no plastic on this light. The entire thing is made of alloy steel and holding this in your hand feels very premium. The button design is unique, there's no clicky sounds because it's not a typical switch. Once pressed in far enough, it will turn on.The brightness is good but not blinding. The battery is removable and comes with its own charger, this way there's no way for water to get to it even under deep water. It charges fast and lasts for many hours.Overall, I'd say this a a great light that feels more expensive than it is.

When I first picked up this light, I thought it felt more like a plastic toy than a serious light. It is light and doesn't feel especially sturdy. There is a black plastic ring that you turn in order to operate it. I have never had a light that worked that way, but once you get used to that ring operation it is kind of nice. Very easy to operate while holding the light. The little plastic ring does feel like something that could break easily, though.I do not plan to use this for scuba diving. I just wanted the waterproof qualities for boating, kayaking, bad weather, and fishing. To be honest, I don't think I would trust this light for deep dives, but I have no evidence to show that it wouldn't perform. I can confirm that it has multiple redundant o-rings on the connections at both ends. I certainly trust it to be waterproof enough for my intended uses.I do not have a meter to measure brightness, but this light is nowhere near 2000 lumens. That was disappointing. Based on my other lights, I would guess that it is around 800 lumens. Certainly bright enough for general use. The beam is fixed focus, and has a good mix of spread and throw. I would say it throws useful light about for a distance of about 100 - 150 feet. There might be a little bit of light at 100 meters, but it won't be enough for you to see anything. Probably not the best for search and rescue or wildlife spotting, but good for general use walking, hiking, fishing, etc. I think it would be a good amount of lighting for diving if you intend to use it for that. I did not test the lighting underwater. You remove the battery to charge it, and a charger is included. This removes the need for any ports on the light itself that could compromise water resistance. It works well.I like the high visibility yellow color of the light, and the orange portion illuminates when the light is turned on. These will make it easy to find if dropped. If this light was over $20 I would give it 3 stars and say that you can do better. It's currently listed for about $10, and for that price I consider it a four star light. You aren't going to impress anyone with its brightness, and I personally wouldn't make it a go-to for scuba diving when my safety was at stake. However it's a decent, simple, balanced little waterproof light.See my pictures in order to see the flashlight in action.
