This adapter works well. Down side is you need to hold onto the adapter chuck to get the bit out of the hole you just drilled. The bit will not pull out of the adapter but the adapter will pull off of the anvil. I’m using it on a DeWalt 1/2” anvil high torque impact. A lot cheaper than a $350 impact drill.

Seems good so far. I’ve used it about 20 times and haven’t held back at all. It’s an adapter tho, and like all adapters, it’s bound to fail at some point. 5 stars because it seems to be holding up so far, and for $30-ish, when it does fail, it’s cheap enough to replace.

Simple review, if you have a 1/2 inch cordless impact gun you need this item. Even if you never thought of using an impact to run ship auger bits this makes boring holes so much easier than a drill. If the bit binds an impact will not try to break your wrist, throw you off the ladder, etc....

This tool worked great for augering 1" holes with a M18 1/2" impact through 10"x10" fir post to hang a gate.
