Horrible performance. I have purchased 3 access points to test. This one, Ubiquity U7 Outdoor and Wavlink AX3000 (WN573HX3).In theory this is the best unit. RouterOS is robust, I can manage it locally. Physically it is also the best unit. Feels solid, an adjustable a very sturdy mount is included.It has a router built right into it. I can define multiple SSIDs (I think 9 max per frequency), multiple VLANs and a whole lot more.Unfortunately, the signal strength is lousy and when I speedtest it, the results are pathetic. The best result I got was under 30Mbts and the was within 100 feet.For comparison, the Wavlink tested at almost 300Mbts at approximately 300 feet.(not endorsing Wavlink. It feels rather flimsy, and the software is very basic).Ubiquity's U7 Outdoor tested much better then MikroTik but also not satisfactory. With omnidirectional antennas attached and unit set to omnidirectional mode there was still a very strong frontal bias. Basically 100 feet in the front I got 300Mbts but only 30 behind it.Also after 150 feet, speed dropped significantly.Another model of the Wavlink AX3000 (6 antenna unit) arrived today. It also proved capable during my limited testing and again, it feels not very solid.I did order an Alta Labs hotspot which should be arriving tomorrow so I get to do more testing.I am hoping that it performs well. My deployment plan is for 15 hotspots and I really do not want to go with Wavlink.Hopefully the Alta Labs AP will work out.It is not all bad news for MikroTik. I did settle on using their 5 port routers behind the access points.
