I compared these with another common brand that is sold in most big box stores, and found that there is one significant difference: The barbs on these nails are almost non-existent. They are very smooth and probably wouldn't amount to any additional holding power.Compare with barbs on a name brand, they actually feel sharp and pull your skin with a finger test.To me this is a deal breaker when working with 3/4" OSB where holding power is critical and I have radiant heat lines beneath the subfloor.

The L flooring gun nails worked fine

When you order a box of nails one expects to get the number of nails printed on the box. Not from this company. The box I opened of the 2 I ordered had 5 strips of 100. I shot 5 nails and every cleat nail split the bamboo flooring tongue before I stopped using them. While deciding how to proceed, I got distracted and counted the number of nail strips in the box. I ended up using 18g nails and will give these away and write off the $40. loss. The wedge shape might work well with a thick oak tongue but it's not great on the 9/16" bamboo. I didn't bother opening the second box after counting box 1 and viewing the splitting on the flooring.
