The Meike 35mm F2 could possibly be the new king of budget primes.Its plastic build, and well put together with a nice feel to the focus ring. There is a weather sealing gasket too.The lens controls fringing well, but has some flaring into direct sunlight. Its sharp wide open and good in the corners too, but reaches maximum sharpness at around F5.6 and stays sharp down to F11, where diffraction starts to have a minor effectVignetting is very minor and hardly noticeable, even wide open.Autofocus in stills can be slow, but it's steady and accurate. In video, the lens is very good with talking heads interview style video and also tracks things wellThe lens works well for astro photography too, with corner aberrations clearing up at F2.8Overall a lens that is versatile and excellent value for money. It does landscapes, street, portrait and astrophotography.Sadly lacks full weather sealing, but a minor point at this price
