Well worth the money. Smooth aperture blade movement so no clicks can be heard when filming. Great shallow depth of field gives a pleasing background. Focus barrel moves smoothly with just the correct amount of friction. I bought the 35mm MFT version so it also works good for medium portrait shots. Would buy again it needed.

I am glad to see so many other users enjoy this fine lens. See it for what it is - manual focus, quite fast at f1.4, compact for use on MFT bodies and both available and speedily delivered. I have many lenses, and this fills a niche with my old Mk1 Olympus E-M1, which I use mostly for macro work. Meike makes a set of Autofocus Extension tubes which work well with this lens to provide beautiful closeups and fine bokeh effects. Depth of field at f1.4 is very small indeed, so I use f4, and f8 where possible. Sharpness is good at those settings, where available light allows, and that's good enough for me. The softness at wide open brings its own rewards in artistic renderings. Great value. Recommended. Samples attached.

Perfect addition to my lens kit for the bmpcc4k. This will give you the film look in a second. Great investment if you are looking for that bokeh and film look.
